Mark Levin, obnoxious radio show host, said he would quit his show if McCain won
Florida. Sadly, he did not actually do it. I guess both of thier complaints are that McCain is not conservative enough.
I won’t offer any predictions of whether Coulter will change her tune if it turns out to be Hillary v. St. John, not will I predict how any other specific wingnuts might change their tune. But taken as a group, I’ll just quote Thers of WhiskeyFire: “anyone thinking the Conservative Base won’t find a way of frothing just as maniacally for McCain as they did against him, well, it’s awfully late in the game to expect any sort of consistency out of that crowd.”
you know these people crack me up. they get on their high horses about how mccain is lacking in all their needed virtues, yet they don’t bother to endorse romney. there is no pleasing them.
and who are they kidding. when they get in that voting booth, you KNOW they’re going to vote republican across the board.
It’s all bullshit rhetoric… if they don’t approve of mccain as a candidate, TFB. Deal with it.
There’s nothing wrong with mccain. if hillary gets the nominination, he’ll have my vote.
and if Obama gets nominated, well,
And don’t underestimate Obama. His momentum is building daily… he’s going to leave hillary in the dust. mark my words.
matter of fact, last night’s love fest at the dem convention was that way because Obama set the tone. That’s just the way he is: civil, cordial, logical, clever, diplimatic and so much more. He’s in a different league…
which was unfortunate because I wanted to see the “harder” side of hillarity. but we were stuck with her ‘lighter side’ because of Obama…
oh, and another thing, which is a side note. Who was it that received the right to vote initially? Was it race or gender?
It was race.
And I’m not playing the race card here, just throwing in some history. Obama’s race isn’t a factor with me, although it’s an additional benefit for him.
As usual, most people on the board are totally and completely incapable of comprehending what’s occuring. They seem, for no logical reason, to love McCain. Truth is, McCain is very conservative. Moreso than Romney or Huckabee or Guiliani. It’s also irrelevant.
McCain has a very bad reputation because he’s lying treacherous scumbag who’s incapable of reading the gorram Constitution and enjoys protecting his own little fiefdom and sinecure, then bragging about how “noble” he is for “standing up for the little guy.” It’s not that he’s liberal. He’s a selfish, arrogant, treacherous little prick. He’s a media darling because he’s charismatic and flashy and plays to the media… a lot like a certain former Governer of Arkansas cum President.
Romney is a wishy-washy pest, but he’s generally considered better than McCain. But then again, McCain has a lot of friends and he has (in some people’s view and I don’t agree) a better chance of winning the Presidential election. So he’s gotten a fair amount of support, particularly from Northeast voters and a similar crowd in Florida. Romney, by contrast, doesn’t have as many connections or a pre-built constituency.
God, I wish Obama (Hi, look at me! I’m charismatic! I have no other good points unless you’re a hard left nutcase!), Clinton (I’m the Queen Bitch and if you don’t support me I will send you to the Gulag!), Romney (I’m not McCain!), and McCain (I’m like a wife beater, and you know you’re coming back to me!) would just keel over and die.
