Ann Curry rescued by Boy Scouts.

Scouts take their Oath seriously. Ann Curry was in good hands. I’m glad they were there to help her off that mountain.

I’ve recited this oath hundreds of times and taught it to many young scouts. I’m glad to see it put into action.

On my honor I will do my best
to do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
to help other people at all times;
to keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.

A good reminder that the vast majority of the problems with Scouting today isn’t with the rank and file.

Hiking can be dangerous. Break a leg and you’re stuck until help arrives. That’s why Scouts are taught splints, litters and other basic first aid.

Strong work, boys. I love how, at the end of the article, the Rangers showed up. “Does someone need rescuing?” Nope, the Scouts got it. :slight_smile:

Not really, I’ve assisted folks who self-rescued with a broken leg. Anything can be dangerous but a well-prepared hiker can take care of more than you’d imagine.

I fell in a parking lot in the city and for once in my life did not have my cell phone on me, and I was rescued by Boy Scouts. Actually, they were two Eagle Scouts. They carried me to my car. God bless 'em.

Quoted for truth. These boys showed what it’s really about. Good job by them.
