Anna Torv and Carrie Coon are the same person, right?

Can anyone actually prove they’re not?

Only their hairdressers know for sure.

Because one’s blond.

Who’s Carrie Coon?

OK, there’s a certain resemblance. They could play sisters, along with Caitriona Balfe.

The weird one I just noticed today is how much Zach Kornfeld and Rik Mayall look alike.

I think of Anna Torv as your best low-budget Cate Blanchett replacement.

Actually, Anna Torv looks a hell of a lot more like my BFF than Carrie Coon. I really should start calling her Fauxlivia.

I used to read Spy magazine years ago and they had a “Separated at Birth” column. Now a book series:

Gotta say, the cover of the one book of Don Knotts and Mick Jagger is shocking.

If you search “Separated at Birth Celebrities” you get lots of hits. Here’s one:

As I went through this one, I was stunned by the resemblances for a few.

Struck by the Mark Zuckerberg/Philip IV resemblance on that link, I was reminded of my schooldays studying early modern history. I was amused to discover the striking resemblance between Mary I (Tudor) and (this one’s for the Brits) Dennis Waterman of Minder fame (in which he starred and sang the theme tune ;)).

Mary I:

Dennis Waterman:

Mary I was, of course, married to Philip IV’s granddad.

What a supreme insult to Michael Cera. “You don’t just look like a woman, you look like Hitler’s mother!”

I had never heard of either of them before, but now that I look I suppose there is a resemblance.
They both seem to have a kind of attractive-but-unremarkable quality, as if I could see them multiple times yet still not know who they are.

Jennifer Connelly, Sienna Miller, and Jessica Biel are among others who have this effect on me.

If you haven’t watched The Leftovers or Fargo you are really missing out on two of the best shows of the past few decades.

Well said! :o

My first reaction was “Who’s Anna Torv?”

I’ve wanted to, but I hear they’re both incredibly dark and depressing, and I don’t need that in my life right now.

She was the star of Fringe, a show that was like the X-Files, only much better.

I thought it was because one was Australian.

Also Mind Hunter on Netflix.

I really wasn’t aware of Carrie Coon before this thread. Flipping through photos I see a very close resemblance in some and not much in others. In general I think Anna Torv is more attractive.
