Can’t think how the major media overlooked this stunning revelation.
I’m trying to think of a joke here, but I can’t get around the bad taste in my mouth the article’s leaving. This feels seriously disrespectful to Anne Frank’s memory and to the people who suffered during the Holocaust.
If she wants to claim that she’s spoken to Anne Frank and Anne Frank forgives Hitler, then she’d better damn well back up her claims of psychic abilities with proof. Where’s Randi and his test?

Pro’lly something along the lines of “Frankly, I don’t give a damn.”
(Yes, I’m really an awful person for telling Holocaust jokes. I really feel filthy now. OK, I’m off to take a shower.)
It’s bad enough that she said it. What’s really sad is that there are people who will believe it.

The story itself is disgusting and I’ll just sidestep addressing it anymore than that.
Yes, definitely. Although unfortunately not terribly surprising to see such stories now and again. However, I think this story does have two redeeming factors: [ol][li] A few more people who like to read about psychics have now heard about the Holocaust.[*]A few more people who have heard about the Holocaust have now been given a reason to discredit psychics.[/ol][/li]
If nothing else, there’s a silver lining to the whole thing, right there.
The downside of course is that this waste of human flesh has managed to get herself the free publicity she was no doubt looking for in the first place.
I’d like to thank all those people who will believe this at face value for saving us all the time and effort of trying to figure out whether or not they’re nuts. That’ll be a huge time-saver.
I was really angry with the psychic for making this claim. But now, she says, everybody has forgiven her for it.
I know this is theoretically possible but the fact that there might be people in the world who:
- can get on the Internet
- follow “psychics”, which in this particular way is a predominantly Western idea
might not have heard of the Holocaust? Just. Freaks. Me. Out.
Yeah me too… but you better believe it’s true
