Annoying Facebook behavior, re: sharing links from the same source

This is starting to drive me nuts to the point that, when I sign a petition on Change.org, I uncheck the box for posting a notification on Facebook.

Here’s the problem:

When I share a petition on Facebook, or when I share a YouTube video on Facebook, or when I share anything from any site that was the source of something I’ve shared previously, Facebook wants to dredge up other, previous links I’ve shared from that source, sometimes from many months ago, and repost those links, often grouping them together with my “new” share in a special box containing multiple links I’ve shared from that source.

I don’t want this.

In the case of Change.org, the old, reposted links are often to petitions that have already been resolved. In the case of YouTube, when I share a nice classical music video, I don’t need Facebook to supplement it with that AC/DC video I shared six months ago.

WTF is going on here? Facebook didn’t used to do this. Can I make it stop? I’ve found that it happens most often when I share multiple links from the same site within a few hours of each other (which often happens when I’m cruising YouTube while drinking).
