Seriously though- the worst part is he isn’t out to his family. This isn’t really the ideal way to remedy that. The media exposure has to be awful, though that part will pass soon enough. Of course if Rekers had any compassion or anything beyond covering his own ass (when a 20 year old’s not doing that for him) or even if he was just a good con-man, he’d be approaching Lucien from the angle of addressing his (Lucien’s) needs- how to do damage control where his family is concerned and all that. Instead, per usual, it’s all about himself.
Does it make me a bad person that if Rekers set himself on fire on a street corner I not only wouldn’t shed a tear but would want his estate to pay for hosing off the sidewalk?
Actually, based on that conversation, it sounds to me like they didn’t have sex.

The one part of the FRC’s comment that ‘it’s hardly surprising’ that I agree with is that it’s hardly surprising when a rabid homophobe who makes his career out of trashing gays turns out to be gay. I might be wrong but I don’t think most sexually healthy straight guys spend that much time thinking about what gay guys do, let alone build a career out of it.
