We’re totally sleep deprived, but hey! I make no promises that this post will be in any way, shape or form coherent.
lno and I had been expecting our first child – a wee girl thing – on February 14th. Miss Eleanor decided to appear a week early, on the 7th. Much excitement and much glee. 7lbs, 13oz, head o’ dark hair… and I mean a MOP of hair about an inch long. So much hair that it caused vacuum-assisted delivery to fail. It was a long and hard labor & delivery, but everyone is on the mend now. Baby had decided to present in a “The Thinker” pose, and the OB and Resident assisting at the birth (mommy has a seizure disorder, so we had a nice team o’ docs and nurses present) didn’t realize it until baby was beyond the point of no return. Yow! Even an epidural wouldn’t touch that…
Yay for doper babies! Another one for the clan!
Elly, lno & baby Eleanor (who has been, so far, the easiest baby ever! Knock wood.)
Here’s a picture, which should be captioned with: " We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender…"
Wow, she does have a lot of hair! Congratualtions! I like it that more folks are getting away from “trendy” names and back to more traditional sounding monikers.
