For a friend’s mom:
Film or TV episode from the 50s/60s. She thinks it’s Bette Davis, but I can’t find anything that corresponds.
Elderly couple whose daughter keeps urging them to move in with her. They don’t want to. They are possibly toy makers - there is a trunk or a chest filled with dolls. They end up committing suicide rather than leave their house.
Any ideas?

I took the liberty of posting your question on the IMDB board, and one of the experts posited that it might be Right of Way (1983), which fits everything except the timeline.
