Just heard this song a few days ago on my local adult-contemporary station (WKJY 98.3, Long Island, in case you’re curious) and haven’t heard it since, but I’ve GOT to hear it again, even if that means forking over some cash.
I mention the genre of the station because it sounded like a very, very country song. It wouldn’t surprise me to hear that the singer is a country star and this is his big cross-over hit.
The refrain goes: “I went skyyyyydivin’, I went Rocky-Mountain Climbin’, I did 2.7 seconds on (something).” Next line of the refrain changes from instance to instance, but I recall it mentioning giving forgiveness and being the father he never was before. Final line of refrain was “I wish you could live a day like you were dying.”
Is there a significance to that name vis a vis bulls? I’m familiar with Fu Manchu, the Sax Rohmer Chinese criminal mastermind, but if you “love that line” I have to wonder if there’s more to it I don’t understand.
I guess I got the spelling wrong. A “Fu Manchu” is also a type of moustache, more than likely named after said “Sax Rohmer Chinese criminal mastermind.” No particular reason I like it other than the fact that I think it’s a funny name for a bull. I’m easily amused.
