There are 16 in my cohort.
The most prolific one (besides me) posted 22 times in three days and was banned.
The second most posted 14 times in a week and was banned.
The third most posted three times in a day and was banned.
Sounds like a trend. The remaining twelve posted zero or one time, one if them the day after registering. None of them were banned.
Interesting. I am #215, numbers 201 - 237 (inclusive) joined on the same day. I’m not going to page through them individually, but 37 newbies seemes to be a pretty big join up day.
I am #2763 (join date 10/6/99). Numbers 2762 - 2773 joined on the same day.
A little misleading as I actually joined in September, but changed my handle from DIVEMASTER to divemaster in October, as I was not aware of the all caps taboo when I first signed up.
But of the 11 or 12 others that joined on 10/6/99, only two had more than 3 posts:

I only just noticed this resurrected zombie. My 5/29/2009 join date was shared with about 20 ussrs, but the only survivor other than me is the delightful Serenata67.

Looks like the active members from August 3, 2000, have now dwindled down to three. Hi, nesta and peedin!
10th Jan 2003 was a busy day for the Dope. I counted at least 60 people joining before I got bored. None banned but almost all with zero or one posts. The only two currently active seem to be Ravenman and myself.

Yes, I’m still around, but my skills in this department have not been updated! I was
relying on others for the number crunching and data mining long ago. I’m pleased that the issue
has renewed interest for some people, and I’m still curious what can be done
with the numbers, but I’ll be needing some serious help to take it any further myself.
Thanks for the vote of confidence, but it’s undeserved at this stage.

26 joined that day - Including myself, 3 of us are still active, with activity within the last week. (**enipla **and **tavulla **are the other two)
Of the others
10 never posted.
7 had single-digit post counts
7 had no activity beyond the first day
4 had no activity beyond the first month.
2 had no activity after the first year.
None were banned
1 stayed active until 2011, another until 2007 without ever posting. Logging in to lurk, I guess.
Besides the 3 currently active members, there were 3 others that lasted into the 2010s, but none have been active since 2016.
I joined on 3/12/03 (coincidentally ten years to the day before my granddaughter was born!), along with 34 other people. I haven’t compiled a list like others here, but no one else in my cohort is still active. I’m the only survivor.
The vast majority had either no posts or only one. A few made a handful of posts, one made about 140 and another made almost 500. One of those two was last active in 2014, but otherwise the few who posted more than once weren’t active for more than a couple of years.

And considering this is my 522nd post over 2363 days, a rate of 0.22 posts/day, we’re definitely scraping the bottom of the join date barrel here…
But, in a positive light, no bans…yet…I will do my best to keep that streak alive…
There were 16 other accounts created on the day I joined. About half of them were banned (spamming seems most likely), and few of them have posted at all. The rest posted two or three times.
Early January 2003 must have been a busy time in general. I joined on Jan 2, 2003 (member # 28791) and here is what I found:

But this by far was the oddest discovery: we had a thread in MPSIMS a couple years back asking what you would change your user name to if you could. My response was that I would change my user name to “Elrond Hubbard”. Well, that will never happen, because that was the third new user on the same day I joined!
- Is there a way to find when a user last posted, not just last active? If I click the link that says “Find all posts for <user>”, I only get the first 500 posts.
