Sorry to interrupt the gun debate, but Daniel’s boyfriend just got a message from one of the survivors - Daniel was apparently in a hallway during the shooting and instead of running away through the door himself was urging and helping others through it until he was killed. He saved at least 4 lives.
It’s possible that he was targeted for that, or that the shooter had a problem with him being really, really flamboyantly gay. Or just that he happened to me be in the way of bullets that were spraying everywhere.
Turns out not only was he a super cool guy, he was goddamn hero.

Well, either Farook played him for a sucker, or the friend was a straw purchaser. Farook was apparently smart enough to realize that a guy like him buying assault rifes would raise all kinds of red flags, even if it was legal.

People with “Arabic Sounding Names”, “Middle Eastern Name”, “Foreign Sounding Names”, funny names, whichever phrase is the least insulting, sometimes have trouble because of terrorist suspicions nowadays.
Apparently we need gun control but only for brown people.
I suspect that a healthy portion of the electorate would actually support that.
