Especially after yesterday’s 5-state primaries in the Northeast, the spectacle of Ted Cruz and John Kasich Joining Forces to Stop Trump reminds me irresistibly of Grover and Elmo working to stop the revelation of Another Monster at the End Of This Book.

[Spoiler Alert]
Except, of course, in this case, there really IS a bigger monster at the end of the book, not just good ol’ Grover and Elmo.
That was such a great book. I had a copy when I was like, 4, which means the book must be 45 years old.
To clarify: There are two books. The Monster at the End of This Book starred Grover, and is an age-old classic. Another Monster at the End of This Book is a much more recent sequel, and stars both Grover and Elmo.

Wait, in the second book does it turn out that Grover is actually racist?
I loved the first book as a kid (40+ years ago) and my kids loved both of them when they were little. If only the primary were as delightful.
[Grover] THIS will stop you from turning the page. I have built a Heavy, Thick, Solid, Strong BRICK WALL, which Mexico will pay for, I would just like to see you TRY to turn this page.[/Grover]

No, he just reveals that his last name is Norquist.
The original book was my first favorite book. I have extremely fond memories of that book.
Same here. I remember reading the first book in pre-school.
