Another "Please help me identify this song!" thread

Just heard this one on Internet radio. No playlist. :frowning:

Definitely '60s. Twangy electric guitar/echo chamber effect. Possibly The Ventures or The Shadows, or The Tornadoes—one of those early electronic bands.

No lyrics that I know of, but the first line of the melody sounds like Johnny Cash’s “Were You There When They Crucified My Lord?”

With regard to the remainder, the closest tune I can think of is “Sleepwalk.” Faster tempo, though.

Any ideas?

All that comes to mind is Duane Eddy. Have you checked YouTube yet?

Just the above groups, and not Duane Eddy. I’ll give it a shot right now!

I don’t know. But I do love watching this.

OMG! I damned near choked on my beer!

For a second there, I thought I’d been transported back to the Bicentennial. A little more skin, and that scene could have been cut from a period porn flick; all of the men look like they’d just walked off the set of one!

Definitely the sound I’m looking for, though!

“Raunchy” by Bill Justis?

Not that he has that sound you describe, but Johnny Smith: Walk, Don’t Run! has some cool stuff you might like. The Ventures went crazy with their version of The Ventures “Walk Don’t Run”

Others worth checking out: Chet Atkins, Les Paul, Joe Pass and maybe another 100!

More cheese than the state of Wisconsin! Thanks for that!
