I don’t have any words of wisdom, I just hope for the best.
So very sorry to hear that.
Cancer can sneak up on you so fast, like the tumor you mentioned. My aunt was stage 4 when she got checked out, had just been feeling a little poorly, so she went to get checked out. My mom was lucky, she had a bowel obstruction and they found spots on lung and spleen and she’s been okay.
Clothahump, I’m so sorry. I hope you get there in time, like you want/ Take care, we will be listening.
Sorry to hear that.
So sorry.
Wishing strength and peace of mind for all of you.
My condolences Clothy. Sometimes it comes so fast.
My wife just brought her mother’s ashes home yesterday. MIL was fine 4 weeks ago then got weak and didn’t feel right. So into the hospital for tests.
Blood counts messed up, must be an infection somewhere. Maybe a UTI. More tests and finally a scan. Cancer of the everywhere, liver, stomach, gall bladder, they just quit looking for all the places.
Straight into palliative hospice care. Talk about 6 months, 6 months that only took about 10 more days! Quite a month we have had.
About 4 weeks from “I don’t feel quite right” to a box of ashes on the table. 69 years old.
My condolences to you.
Stay strong, clothahump.
Hugo Wedemeyer passed away late Wednesday night. Thanks to all of you for your kind thoughts.
He was a huge supporter of the New Orleans Symphony Orchestra. If anyone would like to contribute a few bucks to them in his name, it would be greatly appreciated.
So sorry, man. I hope you and yours are handling things okay.
We’re hanging in there. The memorial service is planned for Tuesday evening. Due to logistics and the slow grinding of government wheels, the interment won’t happen until Friday. I’m coming back on Wednesday, but SWMBO and the sibs will stay for the interment and then she’ll come back.
Once again, thanks to everyone for the well wishes, from both SWMBO and me.
Deal with the things you need to get done, as best you can. Try to hang onto the good memories. It’s about all any of us can do.
