You do know that there is a chance of death/ serious health complications during any pregnancy, right? Even discounting any mental health issues that might arise? Does that mean that you are always in favor of abortion as an option for the mother?
Great to have you on the team!
Like I said, the mother’s right to self-defense trumps the right of the fetus to be carried by the mother. Of course, this is just my opinion, and I understand that reasonable people can disagree…but you’ll have to do better than crying ‘Nazi’ before I’ll care about your opinion.
Well, this is defintely headed for a major train wreck. Its funny that even the pro-life people are shying away from TBC.
Anyway, before the wreck occurs, and as we are unlikely to get anything rational or coherent out of the OP, I thought I’d ask a semantics question.
Pro-choice seems a pretty descriptive term for the side that wants to enable a woman to be able to make her own choice reguarding her body. I fit into this catagory. While myself, personally, I don’t condone abortion, nor would I or my wife ever have one, I definitely support the right for a free citizen to make their own moral and ethical choices.
However, Pro-life I think is definitely not appropriate as a lable IMO. Think about it. Do Pro-life supporters support life in all reguards? Are they opposed to the death penalty for instance? What about the myriad people who die from, say smoking? Do they support the outlawing of tobacco products? Alchohol? Firearms (I mean, guns defintely CAN kill, no?)? What about the disease and starvation deaths that can be prevented around the world? Do they refrain from eating, or is the Pro-life stance only in reguards to humans?
I think a more reasonable and appropriate term for this camp would be Anti-abortion, not Pro-life as their major stance is basically to oppose abortion. No?
