Another "recommed a ps2 game" thread: Puzzle/adventure games

My wife is looking for a game she can play on ps2. She likes myst kind of games or games like resident evil if it didn’t have the killing. In other words something where you run around and solve a mystery or something like that. She is currently playing a game called “shadow of destiny” but is just about to beat it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Oops. I don’t want anyone to recommed a game. I would rather they recommend a game.

Maybe a moderator could fix that?

Most of these are more RPG types, but here goes:

ICO is fairly short but has a lot of puzzles to solve. It’s a good-looking game with a fairly simple plot (rescue the girl and escape the tower). It also has a two player option for the second playthrough.
It is also the closest game to Shadow of Memories (I think Shadow of Destiny, which you’ve got, was the US title?) that I’ve found.

Kingdom Hearts is definitely aimed at younger gamers (Disney/Final Fantasy crossover) but has a fair amount of hidden secrets and sub-quests to solve. There are a lot of puzzles in it, but it can be completed on one playthrough. Most puzzles seem to be jumping or item-based.

Summoner and Summoner 2 are more RPG genres than puzzle solvers, though both have subquests to complete. Off-hand Summoner 2 is more a of puzzlesolving game, though both games solve most puzzles by talking to other characters rather than by moving boxes around. Both also have large amounts of fighting.

I’m sure there’s more, but I can’t think of any at the moment.

Escape From Monkey Island
I just read the review and it looks fantabulous.
You should be able to pick it up cheap as well.

Just a warning…The Sims for PS2 is supposedly being released Jan 19, if you want a fair chance at playing your PS2, I suggest you not buy this game…the PC version is addictive, imagine how addictive PS2 version will be.

Speaking of Resident Evil, has she tried “Resident Evil: Code Veronica X” yet?
