{{{Midget}}} Don’t be too hard on yourself. Depression messes up your brain chemistry, and leads to strange things. My sleep is always out of whack. Do what you can, when you can, and don’t let being depressed be another reason to beat yourself up. You have a lot going on and EVERYONE (every single human born) has been or will be depressed. We’re here if you need us.
The rest of you mooks: Steelers, schmeelers. Football is an inferior game, played by weak men who couldn’t handle the intensity of baseball, or hockey (if you must).
kopek, the Santa that Critter Care gets is so perfect. He has a real beard that’s just right, and when I had my previous dog he remembered him from year to year.
How ya doin’? That’s the best you got? Sheesh! You should borrow my line:
“Want to wreck a marriage? Want to wreck a couple marriages? Want to wreck a motel room in Punxsutawney Pennsylvania?”
Iffin ya don’t get slapped ya has a pretty good chance ------- at her cookies.
American football of course; not the true form spelled r-u-g-b-y. Although we could debate if its sport or a semi-organized form of rioting and mayhem.
15s of course. I detest that 7s stuff.
Most of us pros (ones who own our own suits and all and have real beards) who do animal shelters are some of the best of our (pardon the expression) breed. Kids are easy compared to pets. And if pets smell a phony in that suit or someone just doing it as a gig they know. Glad you got a great one!
I think so, it was just soggy and chilled. It’d dried out, had it eyes open again and was sitting up starting to pay attention to things when I left.
It’s feeling very autumnal here today. I think one of my missions for this week might be to try buy a wetsuit, 'cos now the tourists are going, the beaches are usable again, but it’s getting a bit chilly for swimming.
Maybe I’ll try a shopping trip into Plymouth, rather than go to the little shops, one per town. It’s the biggest city in the area and I’ve not been there yet.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 74 Amurrkin out and clear (well, dark) with a predicted high of 91 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. I shall deheathenate as per usual. I am the non-cannibal kind of Lector this mornin’. Rah. Have a feelin’ this will be a “low” Sunday as I’m sure a lot of folks took off for one more trip to the beach and stuff. Other than that, no real plans. Any need for sustenance will be via forge for leftovers.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then purtification for deheathenization must commence.
Up, caffeinated and sheveled. Off again today. Gonna watch the Formula 1 race this morning, it’s damp out, so I had to drag “Princess Pretty Paws” off the sidewalk to do his business this morning.
And sorry to be contrary here, but not everyone gets depressed in the medical sense. Yes, everyone does feel sad sometimes, but clinical depression is a different sort of sadness.
**Red **- can you freeze the cookies till you go back to work? And the dishcloths are cotton garter stitch - they’re just regular washcloths, not scrubby thingies.
Oh yeah - Up before 8. I tended to the critters, then **FCD **and I went to breakfast. Upon our return, I loaded the dishwasher and it’s washing now. When I finish reading the comics, I’m going to clean the kitchen floor, then scrub the critter fountain. I may or may not do the bathroom today - I may leave it till tomorrow.
It’s sunny - for now. Who knows what may happen as the day goes on.
I had baby duty last night, since daughter and SIL had friends over for some fire pit time. I fed Roxy, then played with her till she was tired enough for bed. Babbies are hard work!!! But her smile just melts your heart!
Cloudy day today, so far not too hot. Supposed to get up to 88.
I slept in until 7:30 today, I am running behind on everything. Not that I have much of anything to do.
I talked to one friend this morning, we had a lot of catching up to do.
Now I’m debating what to make for breakfast, although I guess whatever I make I should call it lunch.
Morning all. Slept in until nearly 8:30, now wish I could loan a couple of those hours to midget. Ate about a 1/2lb of baby carrots for breaking fast and watching football (the World’s idea of Football, not the silly American tackleball game), will get something more substantial later. Week is due to be hot and no rain again, someday I’ll see 70F once more. But today is not that day.
The kitchen floor is clean - first time in ages!!! I even moved the fridge and stove and cleaned all the cat hair that got under them. Once the floor dries, I’ll clean the critter fountain. The bathroom cleaning may wait till tomorrow.
I’m sweating like I just ran a marathon - and it’s 74° in here with ceiling fans blowing…
Blurf. I lost a bottle of my anti-migraine meds. I’ve never done this in 'lo these many years of adulting (which is irrelevant, but it’s important to me somehow). Unfortunately, this is one of those meds that will mess you up if you just stop taking it (seizures and other good stuff). I will shortly go discover the process for replacing lost medicine. Wheee?
mooomm You did good! 74 is NOT cool though… maybe open the fridge door and sit in front of it.
Another day of 50s overnight here, and maybe upper 70s during the day. I feel I’ve crawled off a lifeboat and onto a shore. It’s Fall!!
The critter fountain is clean and refilled and all the furniture and stuff is back in the kitchen. **FCD **and the “kids” are going out to cut up a tree that fell from our neighbor’s yard into ours, across the fence. I think he should ask the neighbor for help, but he won’t. Anyway, I’m going to tend to Roxy. I think I’m getting the easier deal…
USPS truck just pulled up - what can they be delivering on a Sunday??
Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated, came home, foraged N.O.L. and I have achieved nappage. OYKW is workin’ on nappage achievement still. Sloth still ensues.
{{Sunny}}. Maybe the bottle will show up (but only after you’ve ordered replacements). Take care.
Drove out to part of the county I haven’t been to before, I have to take my soccer teams there for a game this year and wanted to be sure I could find the place before I offer directions. Got a couple weeks before we go, so no problem. Ate at Olive Garden and overdosed on their breadsticks, so I iz stuffed. 91F outside and no rain to be seen…what is this “Fall” thing some of you are talking about?
I cleaned the bathroom, vacuumed 4 pets woth of hair and dander up:dubious:, walked Gordie and napped. Looks like a thunderstorm is rolling in. Having a Manhattan(the drink, not the hall monitor) for cocktail hour.
Hope you find your meds before anything bad happens, Sunny.
