Another Summer Comes to the End MMP

Still depressed over not getting much help for mental health difficulties. It’s like a way to add to depression.

Been using combos of medication I already have to try to get to sleep. I’m awake now and I drank a coffee but I’m tired.

hoep it doesn’t take to much longer

nut**, you did a good thing for what sounds like a couple of good kids and a sparrow.

Up, caffeinating, towels in the wash, breakfasted, puppy crate cleaned and a batch of cheese grits made and ready to roll up and put in the fridge for slicing for tomorrow evening’s shrimp and grits tapas.

Bruce had a good turnout at the funeral home last evening. The memorial service is today, but I won’t be going to that. I do need to head into Nashville sometime today and then Antioch this evening for game night.

Third load in the washer. That pretty much sums up my morning.

I cleaned the kitchen, including the fridge. Watching college football. It’s getting cloudy.

Regarding The Great British Bake Off on Netflix:

I was [del]misquoted[/del] wrong! There is only one season we haven’t seen before. I just didn’t recognized any of those people

We watched two episodes last night also. I rather like the new woman presenter, and Pru, Mary’s replacement, but I’m not sure about the new male presenter. Maybe I’ll warm to him as we go along. Maybe I’ll even learn their names. It only took me 2 or 3 years to remember Sue and Mel’s names.

Yay! for kids and sparrows!

Have to go to the store today. We’re out of half-caff. And some other stuffs.
Should probably poop-scoop the back yard too.

Five loads of laundry done - I was right to use the dryer - it did rain for a bit this afternoon. I also spot-cleaned the carpets, changed the air filter in the Trane, and made a nice steak dinner for **FCD **and me. Plus I made one knitted washcloth and I’ve almost finished a second - for me! And I watched 3 or 4 episodes of Death in Paradise. That’s one deadly Caribbean island!

More chores tomorrow, but I’ve done enough for today.

Ogbligatroy siglthyl durkene psot.

A good time was had by all. We frolicked in the cee-mint pond. We noshed. We drank. We et tons o’ foodstuffs. Everyone is now gone, and, as I always say… company, nice to see, comin’ and goin’.

I irked today and it was crazy busy. I didn’t get out until an hour after I was supposed to but now that is behind me and I have off until Tuesday. Yay. We are in for some bad weather so they say. I say bring it on. I hope it rains the rest of the weekend.

We are having sammiches for supper cause neither of us could be bothered to cook. Suits me. I also foresee an early bedtime. It was all I could do to stay awake on my drive home from irk today.

Happy weekend!

So right after the State game ,it stormed, so I took a nap. I got spicy teriyaki chicken marinating. Drinking a WTMN.

{{{emily}}} Hang in there, you have lots of friends pulling for you.

swampy, you talk drunk just fine: try this skit from the late Robin Williams on how a drunk Scot invented golf: ROBIN WILLIAMS ( how the scots invented GOLF ) - YouTube

butters, enjoy the time off.

FCM, the weekends for rest, I thought; got tire just reading your list.

Nut, so bird going to be OK? And good on those kids for caring and good on you for caring about those kids.

Sari, sounds like you’re enjoying college once again; hope Son learns to appreciate ‘our’ music.

Did my volunteer duty for 4 hours, then napped for a couple of hours and now must go forth and seek sustenance.

Mooooom, are your knitted washcloths of the netting variety for exfoliation or scrubbing pots and pans?

Anybody want a cookie? I stopped at the bakery for a dozen to take to game night but it got cancelled. As a diabetic living by myself, I really don’t need them around the house and they won’t be fresh by Tuesday, so taking them to irk is right out.

As a personal aside - I have volunteered to be a “Pet Santa” to raise money at Christmas for a local shelter. I have both been surprised at how serious some of the owners take it as well as the variety of pets that show up. Dogs and cats – expected. Ferrets and parrots – not totally surprised. Huge tarantula and the photo has to be “just so”? OK – for charity I’ll live with it. Otherwise I would be reaching for a shoe to whap both the spider and the owner.

Waldameer was terrific but so hot we left early and came home today. So I signed up for an extra shift tomorrow. After I help the OW with some housework. The extra shift sounded better than helping with ALL the housework.

HEY PLANT!!! You aren’t my least favorite Mumper anymore.

Until your next post; then you get the title back

OK — you got the title back.

Same wishes from here as well. Hugs kiddo.

So gnats keep dive bombing my beer. Reminds me of the story:
An American, a Frenchman, and an Irishman go into a pub and order a pint. A fly land in each one.
The American grimaces, pushes the beer away, and order another.
The Frenchman grimaces ,fishes the fly out and keeps drinking.
The Irishman grabs the fly, and starts beating on the back screaming “SPIT IT OUT, SPIT IT OUT YA BASTARD!”

red, if I was 10 hours closer, and hadn’t had a pint of high gravity stout, I’d come and eat your cookies for you.

Metal Mouse, when I first joined the Booster Club, there was a Scottish lady on the Board. When we did the table at games, I’d have to translate for the locals.

doggio, I heard the same joke using an Englishman, an Irishman, and a Scotsman. Probably somewhere in the world it is told using Chinese, Japanese and Singapore characters, because it’s a universal joke across cultures (and yes, I laughed).

Let the little Red-Head girl take care of dinner, so now I’m home for the night. Still 82F outside at 9PM. Who ordered this?

ruble, rest of the pets are OK, but I’d draw the line at the tarantula; ain’t getting within 30 ft. of those…

This sounds vaguely flirtatious.

I did it but I wasn’t happy about it.

OK – two short but its late and I’m tired.

How ya doin’?
