Ant Corpses Everywhere!

So I just got my new “apartment.” Actually it’s just a 10x10 studio with a bathroom and closet, and a small range with mini fridge and sink. It’s very close to school therefore I chose the convenience over the size. I was there almost all last weekend along with Flander. We put together my futon and end table, everything was clean and in order when we left. I go there today for the first time since we left on Sunday and there are ant corpses everywhere! Dozens all over the floor, dozens more floating in the toilet! I freaked out, though was able to eventually calm down enough to start sweeping them out. I open the door to put a couple of boxes outside and decide to move the comforter to make sure there’s no ants by the bed and a lizard runs down the wall! I scream, grab my stuff, and leave. I don’t know what’s going on, but I’m now awaiting a call from my landlord. How exactly do dozens of ant corpses just appear all over my floor and bathroom? It sure freaked me out today. I hope you all have a clean and corpse free home. I’ll go clean mine up tomorrow. Though I am no longer sure about wanting to ever sleep there. Thankfully I don’t have to be out of my old place for another week.

I’m sorry, I can’t stop laughing! I little lizard scared you!!

My dog can take care of the ant corpses. He loves them. Of course, it’s always me who’s stuck combing them out of his little moustache…

A couple months ago, I opened up my freezer and found it filled with mounds and mounds of dead ants. It was like a little eight-legged Killing Fields in there. I cleaned them out, took all the food out of the freezer, and set up a bunch of ant-traps.

Two days later, the freezer was full again. Had to get my dad over with some industrial strength insecticide to root the little buggers out. That seems to have done the trick.

Seriously, OhFace, at least they’re dead. Don’t know how these things work but maybe the landlord had the place sprayed or something before you moved in, and this is the end result…

Would you have rather they were alive?

I’m definitely glad they are dead. All those alive would have really freaked me out. I just wonder how they all just came in and died. What is the most curious is that there is even one smooshed on the toilet seat! Now it couldn’t have just gone and smeared itself on there could it have???

:smack:

At least they weren’t roaches. LIVE roaches! Been there, done that and hope to never have to again!
