Precisely what is an anti-lifer, except for uncalled for nonsense propaganda? And why would their sexual practices suddenly be under question because one sick pervert gets his jollies with livestock?
Three ways of which I’m aware that the people who line up on each side of the abortion debate are referred to, or self-refer:
anti-abortion/pro-abortion (common 20-30 years ago)
pro-life/pro-choice (the current default options)
anti-choicer/anti-lifer (phrases intended to convey the stance of the writer)
There may well be more dyadic pairs, but these are the ones I know of.

Then how do describe someone who believes abortion is morally wrong but firmly believes it should be kept legal because criminalizing it would result in the deaths of women as well as babies? I realize this is MPSIMS, but to me, “anti-life” could apply to both sides.

IMO, “pro-choice.” I know few pro-choice people who don’t have some level of dislike of the procedure itself, but they firmly believe it should be legal and fairly easily accessible.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we see the term ‘pro-life’ appropriated by pro-abortionists exactly according to the argument you are making. Thus, ‘pro-life’ and ‘pro-choice’ would both be used to describe pro-abortionists, and anti-abortionists would have to find another term with a positive connotation to describe their position.

Does a pro-life stand necessarily equate with denouncing sinful sexual behaviour? I can understand the logical link, but promiscuity seems to me to be almost a non-issue in the abortion debate–it’s focused more on the life of the fetus than the conduct of the mother.

It depends on what section of the US you’re in. If the two ideas are denounced together, most commonly it’s considered to be the woman’s fault for promoting the “sinful sexual behavior” by wearing short skirts and such.
