Any Adult Swim fans?

Anyone else out there love the Adult Swim cartoons? I’ve always loved cartoons anyway, but these late night ones are great! Especially Space Ghost and, in my opinion, the best one of all – Sealab 2021!

What are your favorite Adult Swim cartoons, characters, etc…?

I can’t get enough of Aqua Teen Hunger Force and I’m really starting to miss Harvey Birdman.

I only saw Harvey Birdman once. Is it canceled or what? If it is gone, then I already miss it too!

Harvey Birdman will not be airing again this year except for a sorta marathon New Years Eve. Check out ToonZone’s Adult Swim forum for a schedule of Dec & Jan. It doesn’t appear as though there will be any new ones in January, nuts!

Space Ghost and Birdman are good, but I have to agree that SeaLab is definately the best. Pure genius. My sole gripe is that they only run about 11 minutes instead of the standard 22.

Harvey Birdman isn’t cancelled. They don’t always show every series every sunday. I think they’re running a HB marathon on New Years Eve.

I think The Brak Show is pretty cool. The “three hams” episode played too often, though.

Space Ghost’s “Flipmode” with Busta Rhymes is the funniest episode ever. Practically every line from that episode is worth quoting again and again.

I thought this was about naked swimming in pools. Nevermind.

Hey, that’s funny you should mention that episodes out of how many dozens? That is one of my favorites too! “What kind of hospital was that…”

I love Space Ghost when I can get it. It’s a nice loony fix.

The Brak Show is hit ‘n’ miss, there’s something about the new voice of Mom that troubles me. My favorite episode was when Zorak had a “beautiful man-voice” and performed boy-band type songs with sinister lyrics.

My favorite Sealab episode (which aired again on Sunday night) is the one where the one dude makes the drug out of the poisonous fish that makes the other characters all loopy. Requiem for a Dream references abound, which is undeniably sexy.

Anyone remember Cartoon Planet, which was Space Ghost, Zorak, and Brak all together? Now, that was seXXXy!

I like Mission Hill too, and that one show with the badly animated guy with orange hair, the scifi v renaissance geek fight was dead on.

Okay, why are these shows called “adult swim” shows? Kids can’t watch? Are they soft porn or something?

No, they’re just…adult themed.

I’d guess they’re a little racier than The Simpsons, not quite as racy as South Park. Kids could probably watch some of them, but I can’t imagine my niece or nephew finding Space Ghost or Sealab 2021 even remotely funny.

My brother just showed me these shows for the first time on Sunday night. Hillarious!

The Aqua Teen Hunger Force episode with all the pop-ups killed me.

I worship all the SGC2C spinoff shows [Brak, ATHF, Sealab, Birdman], don’t care as much for the others, but they’re all good. I remember when SGC2C first aired in '94 (?), even as a young sapling I found it hilarious.

Favorite episodes, anyone?

Birdman - ‘Dabba Don’
Sealab - ‘Stimutacs’

and above all else…

SGC2C - ‘Flipmode’ !$(#@ (it’s a tossup between that and Girl Hair. and the one where bjork is his wife. and and annnd…)

Yeah, the ‘stimutacs’ episode of Sealab is one of my favorites too.

Sparks – “It’s an herbal supplement. It’s 99% kelp.”

Quinn – “Kelp is crap! What’s the other 1%?”

Long pause.

Sparks – “Secret Ingredient.”

hehehe

Can’t believe “Home Movies” hasn’t been mentioned yet…the most subtle and humerous cartoon on the channel.

What am I missing here? What is ‘Home Movies’?

I only watch some of the shows. I don’t like “Home Movies” or “Mission Hill” and I haven’t even tried watching “the Oblongs” or " the Ripping (or is it rippling?) Friends" because the commercials are enough to turn me off. I’ve only seen a couple episodes of Birdman, and it’s not something I’d go out of my way to see even if it was played more than once in a blue moon.

OTOH, I’ve watched Space Ghost Coast To Coast since the beginning (Dam is my favorite ep of all), and I like Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab 2021 and The Brak Show as well.
