Any browsers that can increase volume?

VLC media player can play a quiet video at 500% base volume. Is there any browser that has the same functionality, so that I can play videos which even at max speaker and max website volume are too quiet to hear? I’ve tried various extensions to Firefox and Chrome, but none seem to achieve anything.

My relatively new computer disappointed me by having much too low volume–at least for my ears. But my computer is in the same room as my tuner and I was able to establish a bluetooth connection between them and can get a very loud volume. Perhaps you can find a cheap speaker+amplifier that can do the same thing.

I’m not sure I advise going to the maximum on any video, in case something auto-plays afterward and blows out your eardrums, but I’ve had some luck with the following.

It claims “Volume Booster for Microsoft Edge! Boost the volume of any tabs in your browser
Increase the volume of any tab in your browser, UP to 600% You can go higher than your system volume maximum!!!” Which sounds what you were looking for. You mentioned no improvement in Firefox or Chrome, so I figured Edge might make the difference, and it’s very good at importing everything from Chrome, so minimal set up.
One thing I’d try though, is see if the add-ons you’ve tried on other browsers work on alternate videos, or if you’ve capped your system volume. I’ve tried to watch videos that were poorly encoded and the volume was almost inaudible even when the system sounds went off like the bells of Notre Dame. I’ve also turned up the system volume to the max, only to realize my wife had turned down the physical volume button on my speakers. Lots of possible issues to investigate when troubleshooting! Fun stuff, sometimes.
