any connecticut golfer dopers help me out?

So, it’s been a while since I’ve been able to play golf, what with the snow cover up here in Massachusetts. I don’t mind playing in the cold (in fact, I rather enjoy it, as the courses are very uncrowded during the winter, provided you can find a course that stays open in the winter), but obviously with a snow cover, no courses around here are open.

Anyway, I visited my brother in Connecticut yesterday (Stratford area), and I saw that there was no snow at all on the ground. I got to wondering if any courses around there were open. I did a Google search for courses in the area, and made a few calls. Unfortunately, I got nothing but answering machines.

So, if any Doper lives in a non-snowy part of Conncecticut (or anywhere else in driving distance of Western Mass, since I don’t want a huge trip here), can you tell me if there are any year-round courses open for play down there? I’d appreciate the name and/or number of a course, so I don’t have to face the frustration of calling dozens more courses and finding no luck.

I am going through golfing withdrawal but am on a limited budget, so a “golf vacation” down South where it’s warm is out of the question.

Thanks!

There’s a couple of year round courses listed here that may do the trick.

Left off Massachusetts which has its own year round courses.

Nice sites both, but where do I find the “year round” status? I must be overlooking something.

Massachusetts would be good too, though from what I’ve seen around here, there’s too much snow on the ground for them to be open. There’s a year-round course I frequented last year, when there was little to no snow, but even they’ve packed it in for a while, at least until some grass shows.

Just go edit/find “round”.

In Mass you get Hyde Park, Marston Mills and North Falmouth.
