Any Difference Between UK or US AA Batteries!

The title says it all.

Nope.

They’re pronounced differently.

AA batteries are pronounced the same, but ZZ batteries are pronounced differently.

…but at least it’s not as confusing as listening to a Canadian talking about them.

They used to be called HP7’s.

Not even a superfluous “u”?

they are sized internationally as R6. a letter preceding the R6 would indicate its chemistry.

Thanks all.

Also, most English batteries are measured in metric volts.

The conversion between metric volts and old-school imperial volts (which are the soi-disant “standard system” volts used in the US) is, in fact, a precise 1:1 equivalents, but the metric volts are still better.

I think you mean ‘superfluos’.

I meant, “thanks AAll.”
