I don’t know what’s going on with me, but it has me very concerned. Here we go…
I get really dizy and things go blury.
I’ve been forgetting things lately. Nothing major, just, I find it hard to remember new things, like stuff at work, etc…
I have been having bad headaches, almost constantly, usually behind my eyes, but it hurts everywhere else also.
I feel angry, for some reason. I fee like my head is about to explode, and I just want to break something to release the tension. I have been smarting off to my loved ones and friends, and become irritated VERY easlisy.
I have found myself mumbling also when talking to people. To me, it sounds fine, but I find myself haveing to repeat what I say to just about everyone.
I find myself stumbling every so offten, as well as droping things, like car keys and whatnot.
I should let yo uknow that I have OCD. It has gotten a lot worse lately, and that is a pain also. (If you want/need examples, just ask!)
Not just lately, but I’ve always found it hard to talk to new people. I feel like no one really wants to talk to me, thus I am always keeping to myself, as if I am anti-social.
Various other little things, that I’ll tell you about if you need it.
…now, I know this sounds crazy (please, no jokes about that one), but this has me highly concerned. I know I should see a Dr., but I have no insurance right now. I simply am here to ask this…
…what could cause these things, and what could one do about them?
It should also be noted that I am under imense stress right now. My brother is having child support problems, my parents don’t seem to have enough money right now, and my sister and her new baby aren’t doing very well.
I think this is something that’s just in my head, for some reason, thus forcing me to make more out of everything than I should. I believe all of this is just mental, the problem though, is I don’t know why that would be!
Nope, I haven’t taken anything for years because it sorta just went away (well, it lessened a bit). The weird thing, is that I feel fine, but at the same time I feel like what I told you. It’s weird really, I don’t know how to explain it…
[rant]Yeah, it’s too bad we don’t have any system in this country to ensure universal health coverage. And it doesn’t seem we will be getting any any time soon with the the GOP in control of everything.[/rant]
My two cents worth: you could try WebMD. You probably already knew about that, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Also, most clergymen will dispense psychological counselling for free. It doesn’t even matter if you’re not particularily religious. They do it all out of a sense of divine charity and all that. I was raised a R. Catholic and I can tell most priests would love to talk to you about your problems. Some religious orders even specialize in that kind of stuff. My cousin once saw a monk for personal problems.
I hope that helps a little. Sorry about your problems:).
Son, you need an evaluation by a health professional. This would be more fruitful for you than using a message board to figure out what’s what. You can always do both, but if you do only one thing, make it going to see a doc.
Have you ever worn glasses? This sounds somewhat like what I feel like when I need a new prescription. I have headaches, sometimes sharp pains behind my eyes, I get irritable, have a hard time talking to people (possibly due to not being able to read their body language/facial expression) and a feeling of “off balance” or dizziness.
Of course I agree with everyone else in that you should try to find medical help a.s.a.p. You might try a clinic of some sort, sometimes the office visits aren’t as much as you might expect. I know how you feel not having health insurance but this may or may not be something serious. Either way, it would have to get better just by knowing you consulted a professional.
If you think it is stress related, look up some self relaxation methods like meditation etc… That can be of great help in the mean time. Hope you feel better soon!
I don’t know what state you’re in, but some state med care plans are pretty decent, if you’re poor enough. I HIGHLY suggest calling up your local community health center, or drop in clinic or whatever, and asking if they have a social worker you can talk to. I was shocked to find out that my state (Vermont) has a pretty amazing health care program if you happen to be dirt po’. Which I am. And even if your state doesn’t have good health care, lots of these clinics have sliding scale fees. It wouldn’t hurt to ask them.
In my non-medical opinion, it could be anything from needing new glasses, to migranes, to serious neurological problems to just stress. Only a doc can tell you.
I’m not a doctor but I’d like to let you know that 1-5 happened to me also during a period when I’d was streesed out due to my job. The no 1. especially was very creepy.
No. 2 is, I think, well known to be connected to a stress hormone.
IANAD, but it seems clear enough that you’re not going to find out what’s wrong by visiting a message board. It may be that you were hoping for reassurance that it’s just stress. Well, we could sit here all day and come up with a range of soft or non-worrisome reasons for your symptoms. But it’s not going to make it true, or make it something less serious, just because we speculate.
Or it may be that you wanted reassurance that your symptoms are serious enough to warrant a doctor’s visit. In which case be reassured that just about everyone here - in particular a real life GP - thinks you should.
Either way, my personal opinion is get your self to a doctor ASAP.
