Me and some other Americorps folks are planning on joining in the March for Women’s Lives in Washington, D.C. on April 25th. It’s a pro-choice march organized by, among others, the ACLU, Feminist Majority, NOW, and Planned Parenthood. I’d like to encourage interested Dopers to attend, and let me know if you are (maybe we could meet up) at jchisholm at fff.fathom.org
Sadly, I will not be able to make it. My university has scheduled its annual awards luncheon that day, and I’m getting an award.
Yeah, I know. I’m so dedicated to the cause.

Maybe. Is there a link to a site about it somewhere?
Nope, it’s right before my finals. However, a few more selfless women in my law school are scheduling a trip out. Don’t know how many will be on it, but they’ve chartered a bus and are going to make a day trip of it. It’s a long drive from Ohio, hope they enjoy it!
I read about it in Ms magazine. Check their website out for details if you’re interested.
Some more data for interested Dopers…
The March is being held in support of reproductive rights and justice for all women. Cooperating organizations include the ACLU, Black Women’s Health Imperative, Feminist Majority, Naral Pro-Choice America, National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health, NOW, and Planned Parenthood, among others. Americorps is not sponsoring this march but some of its members will be attending.
The rally will begin at the National Mall between the Smithsonian museums, between 3rd Street and 14th Street. The march will begin at noon, and then a rally will be held from 1-4 p.m on the National Mall.
Once again, if any Dopers are interested, let me know.
