It says here that the Central Bank will exchange them indefinitely, so the next time you’re in Dublin midweek, you can sort it. They also provide the service if you send the punts to them by registered post. Alternatively, if you’re in Dublin for the weekend any time soon, I’ll happily give you a cheque for the Euro equivalent.
It might be worth checking out whether a bank will take them up north. It’s not beyond the bounds of possibility.
