For all of my posts today, my post count has been in the 1190-1199 range. 11-9, the way that dates are written in the most part of the world. Just a ka winki dink?
Not very eerie, but still somewhat interesting.
I am in Maui, visiting my SO’s dad, who is a helicopter pilot. Yesterday he took a day off, and we all went on a snokeling trip and had a great time. We had so much fun, that we kept trying to think up ways for him to get another day off- like calling in sick or claiming to have a dentist appointment. Well, when we woke up this morning we learned that all air traffic had been closed. He got his day off, but instead of frolicking in the sun we spent it teary eyed and glued to the television.
I had a dream me and my wife were on an airplane a few nights ago. She had a CD from work that somebody connected to the government wanted. Bullets from outside started punching holes in the side of the plane, and I tried to shield my wife with my body. Not terribly related, just something bad happening on a plane and the fact that the government was somehow involved.
I’ve also had a strong feeling of dread for the last few days, like something bad has happened and I haven’t found out about it yet. I was concerned that something had happened to my parents and had been calling them every day.
in class today (after it had happened, im in Australia) the teacher gave us worksheets to do (although we spent all lesson talking about what happened) they were on the book we had been reading lately, Tomorrow When the War Began
Mot an errie coincidence, but this is probably the best place to post it.
My friend Gary was due to fly from Boston to Los Angeles yesterday morning to meet up with his parents who were attending a wedding.
He changed his flight 2 days ago to a later flight, so that he could meet his parents at the airport without having to wait around in the airport for too long.
He would have been on the second plane to crash into the twin towers.
I’m not religious, but I’m sure somebody was looking out for him.
I had been thinking all last week that something really, really terrible was going to happen. I only mentioned it to one person, cause if it doesn’t come true I look like a jerk and if it does, people think you are responsible. I also mentioned the Oklahoma City bombing to several people, cause I could not get it out of my head.
The last time I had such an idea was in July of 1999, when I knew something was going to happen, and I kept thinking about Mr. & Mrs. JFK, Jr–I thought she might be pregnant.
My three months’ pregnant neighbor works in the WTC. She had a miscarriage Monday night! How strange is that?
Yesterday AM, before the attack, I looked out the window just before dawn. It was very dark.
I could tell something was going to happen.
Yeah and Flight 11: 1 + 1 = 2
Flight 93: '93 the year the WTC was bombed
Flight 175: 1+7*5= 35
What’s your point?
My conclusion is that your numbers game should be dumped in the Nostradamus pile.
I note that None of the “pyschics” had predicted anything like this.
But they sure would’ve loved to.
No coincidence here.
My friend Scott was booked on Flight 11. He changed his flight at the last minute, taking an earlier flight out.
Rest patiently, m’dear. They will all be out in force in the National/Sun/Star/Enquirer in the next few weeks, claiming to have foreseen it, or claiming it was foretold in the Bible.
The only weird coincidence I have noticed is that the four planes that were hijacked were all 757’s or 767’s. These planes are very large planes capable of holding several hundred passengers each. From what I understand, flights from the East Coast to the West Coast are pretty popular and are usually booked solid, yet these four planes weren’t even half full. I wonder how many people canceled their flights on these particular planes because maybe, deep down inside, they sensed something might happen.
I think Cecil did a column on that once, how when you go back and compare crashed flights, the number of cancellations and no-shows are inexplicably higher than for other flights of its type.
Did I smoke crack, or did I really read that in one of his books?
I posted this in another thread yesterday:
"This morning around 7:30, strangely enough, my housemate happened to mention to me that her godfather used to work in the WTC. We talked about how neither of us had ever been to New York and that we were eager to visit it some day.
As I was riding my bike to Chemistry, a black cat walked right across the sidewalk in front of me. I’m not terribly superstitious, but I had a funny feeling that something
bad would happen today."
This is the day afterwards, but I have a tedious task to do at work and for music, selected the CD “Up” by REM. I felt like listening to REM and it’s the only disk of theirs I have here.
Some song titles: “Airportman”, “Suspicion”, “Hope”, “The Apologist”, “You’re in the Air”, “Walk Unafraid”.
Plus some lyrical coincidences, but you get the idea. I nearly started crying at the lines:
“Why not smile? You’ve been sad for a while.”
Actually, you may want to check www.snopes.com**. This isn’t true. Nostradamus never predicted this. Check “additions.” You’ll find the listing about three down.
Fixing the link.
Yesterday morning I was watching the Today Show with my mother at around 7. Before I left for school I told my mom I had a bad feeling about today, mentioned the Aaliyah crash then told her to keep watching the Today Show because I was POSITIVE something was gonna happen with planes crashing today. When I got to third period and first heard about it everyone was saying that it probably wasn’t bad or whatever but I kept insisting I knew it was worse than it sounded. Finally, my teacher got a TV into the room and we watched the first tower fall down. When I got home my mom turned on the news. I had to like explain to her that I didn’t have anything to do with it.

Back to the OP…
Perhaps I am stating the obvious, but for those who don’t know, flying the flag upside down is a distress signal.
