i’m not one for prophecy, or psi, or anything supernatural. and it could very well be that this fellow is involved in the conspiracy, somehow. or, it could all be a coincidence.

sorry for the lack of antecedents in that paragraph. here.

that’s a link to a sequel to a very unsettling google message board post. the original doesn’t seem to be linked up anymore (the link I copied last night, and went to the original). basically, this fellow “Xinoehpoel” (xenophile, i’m guessing?) posted on 8/31 that something bad was going to happen the next day. come 9/1, nothing happened. he was called on it. wasn’t until the fourth that he really replied, and said “Wait one week, then you’ll see” or words to that effect. it was when i noticed that (a week before) that I read the subject line. since 8/31, the subject line was “911” or “re:911”.

i don’t know where else to put this. it’s not mundane, but not really up for debate. and I have no general question (lots of specific ones, but only this Xinoehpoel fella could answer them).

what do you all think? i’m leaning toward coincidence, but shit.

the fuck?!?

are taking back your promise to tell us the thing that you
said was going to happen on August 31? Or are you saying

fulfilled your premonition of August 30. Or has it not

I thought (I hope) that there was speculation that his was a sick hoax - posted after the fact - with pre-dated entries.

I am not familiar with the posts in question, but I do have a translation of Nostradamus prophecies (by Erika Cheetham) in front of me, here are a few short ones of interest:

“The gods will make it seem to mankind that they are the authors of a great war. Before the sky was seen to be free of weapons and rockets; the greatest damage will be afflicted to the left side.”

The translator’s interpretation of “left side” means to the left of the map, or America. Here’s more:

" With the knives will come cries, tears and weeping. Seeming to flee, they will make a final assault around the parks. They will set up high platforms, the living pushed back and murdered instantly."

The translator’s response to this quatrain was “A regime that throws people to their death from high platforms?” Keep in mind there are parks very close to WTC and the Pentagon, that the planes at first travelled in different directions, and of course the use of knives.

I’m sure there are more but I haven’t had a chance to read them all yet.

Reminds me of something that happened when I was at school. I was the sort of kid who got left out a lot, so I’d pretend to be dying or psychic or anythig just to get attention. I don’t defend it but I was just a little kid. Anyway one day I decided to do a cold reading: basically, I announced that I felt like something bad was going to happen that day, figuring that bad stuff happened all the time so I could claim to have foreseen anything from the evening news. That was the day Challenger exploded.

Shook me badly enough to mean I dropped the pretending immediately. OF COURSE I don’t claim that God allowed me to foresee Challenger. But He allowed my stupid lying to take place at a very significant time, just to stop me doing it again.
I don’t mean to suggest that’s what this guy did. Genuine prophecy is all over the place today, although this is more a “foretelling” thing. But there are always many sides to any story.

I telephoned the FBI and gave them the URL to this thread. Personally I think “Leo Phoenix @ Palestn.com” is a crackpot. But you never know. It’s just suspicious enough to make me take action. Is it a hoax? Did someone hack the system and plant the dates? Is this some guy who just took a shot in the dark and wound up with the right date? By calling the FBI did I make myself the butt of a nasty joke?

I don’t know.

In any case, on the off-chance that it might lead to something, the FBI has been notified. (So watch what you say! :wink: )

Jack, I got all headers in several newservers (I’ve got one from my ISP and a commercial one) and the post is identical on all of 'em and they all match the quoted text.
No one’s edited the dates or text of the quoted stuff in JBFarley’s post. His stuff jibes with what I get from several sources. As far as I know, it’d be impossible to fake the thread in question (there are too many responses from too many ISPs to have faked).

I just can’t shake my skepticism that a person involved with the attacks would have posted warnings to alt.prophecies.nostradamus. The whole idea seems silly to me.
