I like email, but I’ll try to send a reasonably well thought out message with entertainment value and all them good junx, and I’ll get back, “Yeah!” ARGH.
I get plenty of email during the week because a really good friend of mine can’t have IMs at work…so we email back and forth. It’s damned annoying that his email sig is longer than most of his messages.
Every so often I go off in the Pit and get a few letters from people who agree with me completely but refuse to say so publicly…so by the way: y’all suck.
I have never received hate mail which utterly boggles my mind.
And yeah, I have been known to flip over to Outlook Express and hit “send/receive” two minutes after sending an email because I want everyone I know to be superhuman and write back before they’ve even READ my email.

My name is MamaHen and I am an e-mail slut. Yes I sign up to recieve e-mails every where I go. Yes I usually delete all the junk mail but damn it makes me happy to see all those e-mails to me. I get maybe on worthwhile e-mail a day, usually from my Mom. I am desperate for good e-mails. Someone have mercy, e-mail me!
Definitely an e-mail slut. I have University e-mail, Outlook(junk e-mail place), and Netscape Webmail. I also have several other webmail accounts, but who knows where. I don’t tell anyone about those, so I never check them. I love when I get e-mail. It is an addiction. The university e-mail doesn’t get checked much(maybe once a month). The Outlook gets checked once a day. But the Webmail gets checked every waking hour. I devote my life to it.
I would love if someone wrote me saying “Hi!”. Of course, I would like some more substance to an e-mail, but I am a slut. Tee-hee. Don’t you hate it when you write a friend and ask that they write back and they never do? You just keep writing. Why? Do I think that just one time they will write. Oh, well.

I am compulsive about checking my mail. I love receiving email! Usually I reply to emails as soon as they arrive. Friends, who have me on their buddy lists, even know not to IM me or send me ICQ messages when I first sign on because I read email before anything else.
I’m even bad about checking emails at work. I have my notify turned on so that I’m notified as soon as something hits my inbox. I even put Princess Bride sounds for the different priority levels.

All that PLUS the sheer volume of email that we receive these days can be so overwhelming that the novelty has worn off.
