Any fans of J.D. Robb's "- in Death" series?

J.D. Robb is the pen name author Nora Roberts uses when writing her “in Death” series of romance/crime novels. I’ve gotten quite hooked on them, and am now slightly saddened that I’ve caught up with the series and have no more to read until some more are written.

My wife and I have been reading them for some time. I think there’s one we’ve not finished yet. Born in Death. I’m about 35 pages in and set it aside for a borrowed book I need to return.

I’ve been a “hard” science fiction fan for about 50 years or so and find the future setting interesting. They don’t give too much, or any, detail about how the buses or anything like that work, but it’s OK with me. Just the fact they they exist and do work is all that’s required.

I don’t know that I’d call myself a fan, but I seem to have read the entire series anyway.

I am. I call them my “Bubble Gum” books. No nutritional value, but sure are fun.

I have no way of proving this, but I don’t believe Nora Roberts writes all of her books. For example, in 2007 she had 5 full length new novels published. In 2006 She had 6. She’s kept this schedule up for at least 10 years. If she really knocks out a full length novel every 2 months I salute her. But I find it doubtful.

I enjoy them. The love story between Roarke and Eve is so sweetly *perfect * that I wonder why it doesn’t get on my nerves, but maybe I just read them too quickly.

i’m a fan of them. i started with the first one when it landed on the shelf in paperback with odd coloured “dead people” on them.

they are m&m books to me. you can read a handfull at a time be entertained and happy.

i think ms roberts does write her own stuff. she probably works on more than one book at a time. kinda like how some people read 2 or 3 books at a time.
