I’m listening to “Gypsy Passion - New Flamenco, A Narada Collection.” It’s wonderful! Artists include Oscar Lopez, the Rockin’ Gypsies, Armik and Govi. I also really like the opening scene of the Bond movie, “The World is Not Enought.” It had flamenco dancing & music.
Ever listen to B-Tribe?
It’s flamenco-ish.
Thanks for the tip, ** LolaCocaCola **!
Ottmar Liebert is simply amazing. He’s one of the masters of the style and brings a fresh approach as well, with a slight American Southwest flavor to some pieces.
Do yourself a favor and pick up his Nouveau Flamenco CD. You’ll never regret it.
Funny you start this thread tonight–I went to El Cid, which is a Spanish restaurant & theater in Hollywood. They have a flamenco show with musicians and dancers. I had forgotten how much I love flamenco music.
I also have a Narada Collection CD of flamenco, but it’s called Flamenco: Fire and Grace. It’s another good one to check out.
More tips! Thanks, ** FallenAngel ** & ** JavaMaven1 **. The El CSid sounds like it would be fun – till I can get back to Spain.
