I hope that title made sense…
In the past, my employer has relied on word-of-mouth to find new employees, having found that traditional means like newspaper ads haven’t been especially fruitful. Besides, their work force has been very stable, and they just hadn’t needed too many new people. They recently opened two new locations in a new region, however, and need to recruit a little more aggressively.
I suggested that we post an ad on Craigslist–hey, it’s free. So I ended up elected to do it. I’m happy to do it, actually, and I do have some minor HR experience, so I’m took care of posting the ad and will do the initial screening. (The company is willing to pay for an ad in the paper, but I figured we’d try this first.)
I’m wondering if there are any other good websites that are free to post jobs on?
General jobs sites would be good, of course, as would any that are specific to retail or New Jersey. I was also wondering if there are any sites that cater to specific populations that might have more trouble than average finding jobs. For example, a wheelchair user could probably do the job if he or she were otherwise able-bodied.
Thanks in advance for any help and advice.
