Does anyone know a place where you can find decent looking clip art? In other words, stuff that doesn’t look like it’s from the 40’s or done by someone with no talent. I’m willing to buy a CD or two, it’s just most of the stuff I find is pretty ugly. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
If you want to pay, try this ** http://www.gifart.com/ **
But I’m usually happy with ** http://webclipart.about.com/internet/webclipart/mbody.htm **
Excellent question Guadere,
Short answer: I have no friggin clue.
Long answer: http://www.aaaclipart.com/ seems to be one of the few sites on the web that offers semi-useful free clip art. 50% of it is crap. But the other half is somewhat good and I’ve used a few when putting together presentations. You’ll have to deal with advertisements up the wazoo including the never ending pop-up ads. BTW, don’t even bother clicking on links to other free clip art. For some reason beyond my comprehension, the only thing it ever links you to is another web page with links to free clip art (which, if you click on those links, gets you to a page with links to free clip art).
Also there’s a CD called ClickArt, I believe, that you can purchase with 500,000 pictures on it. It’s pretty good but I don’t know how much it costs.
I’m looking forward to other answers because I am desperately in need of new stuff to use.
You know, I’m thinking the quickest way to get on a Mod’s bad side is to spell their name wrong. Sorry Gaudere
Oddly enough, the best clip art site I’ve found is Microsoft’s. I have always been able to find something that 1) looks great and 2) doesn’t look like clip art.
At http://www.arttoday.com, you can get a time-limited free membership offer. From what I recall, they had some good stuff.
