I’m thinking of taking my mother this weekend, and, you know, sex scenes are awkward when watching with parents.
Saw Devil’s Advocate with my grandmother, when it came out. What’s awkward x 2?

IMDB’s listings include a Parents Guide, which details adult content in movies.
The entry for that film, under “Sex and Nudity,” indicates:
Tons of cursing, quite a bit of violence, but no actual sex or nudity.
wow! you go to see a film with that subject matter and “sex and nudity” are the biggest concerns on your list?
As I said in the OP, I’m taking my mother. Concern isn’t the word I would use, we’ve lived with enough anti-antisemitism in our lives. But again, sex scenes can be awkward with a parent.
Saw it yesterday (excellent movie BTW). No nudity of sex scenes.
Just know that they use almost every slur you can think of against Black people about 1000 times during the film. And I was completely unprepared for the coda.
But no nudity or sex.
It’s the best kind, really.
Just a (very) minor joke on the unintended double-negative there…
Sure, but *more *awkward than violence and hate?
Fine, you know your own mother but I suspect she might already be more familiar and comfortable with sex and nudity than you may imagine. I know with my own kids (11 and 13) that something distressingly violent would bother me more than a pair of boobs or people having sex.
I’ve watched sex scenes with my parents AND with my child. Just don’t make eye contact with them until it’s over, and don’t discuss it after the film. In general, parents and children are very good at ignoring things both sides want to ignore.
My father, for some inexplicable reason, once rented the film Martin to watch with his mother, my grandmother. Nudity and extreme gore. I thought I was going to die of embarrassment.
You might be interested to know that the film deals with anti-semitism quite a bit – that surprised me.
Haha I felt a little awkward watching Borat with my grandfather during the nude wrestling in the hotel room scene, my grandfather laughed so hard I thought he was going to keel over.
You’re safe.
