Damian Priest finally turned heel on R-Truth after they failed in their attempt to win the AAA World Tag Team Championship from The War Raiders on SmackDown. I don’t think anyone is surprised by that.
What did surprise me is that Sami Zayn regained the WWE Title!
Stephanie Vaquer regained the Women’s World Title from Liv Morgan at a house show tonight in Chile, and got to celebrate in front of her home country and family.
La Catelina ended Flammer’s record 1128-day reign as Reina de Reinas Champion on the second night of AAA TripleMania 34 tonight.
The Wagner Brothers defeated The War Raiders to win the AAA World Tag Team Championship, and in the main event, El Grande Americano defeated Dirty Dominik Mysterio to win the AAA Mega Championship.
Missy Hyatt announced on her facebook page that she is going to auction one of her implants. Bidding starts at $1500. It will have a certificate of authenticity and she will sign it. (She says the other one ruptured in a car accident, so this is it.)
I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes for multiple times that value.
The I-C Title match between Chad Gable and Dragon Lee tonight is on my short list for Match of the Year.
Promos on NXT be like:
I had a hard time proving myself before I got to NXT. I had to fight for bugs to eat, rent my body out to black market product testers, provide for my sick/dead (insert relative here), so I DESERVE THIS TITLE SHOT!
Shiloh Hill is the lone standout. I love his video series testing out antidotes to Naraku’s poison mist. He’s actually creating storylines instead of relying on the “struggling contender” formula.
PROGRAMMING ALERT!
Sami Zayn will defend the WWE Title tonight on SmackDown against Kevin Owens!
WWE/AAA Worlds Collide will be this coming Saturday at 7:30 pm on Peacock and YouTube. AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio has announced that Oba Femi will be making an appearance, which naturally invites speculation as to whether he’ll have a face-to-face with Omos.
The full card for Worlds Collide has been announced:
-
Oba Femi will make an appearance
-
La Parka, Mr. Iguana, Mascarita Sagrada, and Adelicious vs. Myka Lockwood, Brad Baylor, Ricky Smokes, and Mini Abismo Negro
-
Jack Cartwheel vs. Dragon Lee
-
Las Tóxicas vs. Fatal Influence in a trios match
-
Mini Vikingo vs. EK Prosper vs. Axiom vs. Je’Von Evans to determine the No.1 Contender for the AAA Cruiserweight Title
-
Lucha Bros (Penta and Rey Fenix) vs. Los Perros del Mal (Daga and Berto)
-
La Catalina (c) vs. Roxanne Perez for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship
-
CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, and El Grande Americano vs. Dominik Mysterio, Omos, and JD McDonagh
This will be the first time CM Punk and Dominik Mysterio will face each other in a televised match, though they’ve battled a few times on house shows.
Dominik was 12 years old when CM Punk, accompanied by the Straight Edge Society, terrorized his 9-year-old sister Aalyah in front of their parents by singing Happy Birthday to her.
Pac, who wrestled in WWE as Adrian Neville, has passed away.

Apparently he was found slumped over in his car in a restaurant parking lot on Sunday afternoon and was determined to already be dead by the time medics arrived. I’m guessing spontaneous massive heart attack.
Tomorrow’s episode of Dynamite will be a PAC tribute show headlined by Will Ospreay and Ricochet running back their classic Best of the Super Juniors match from 2016.
Indie luchador Hijo Del Fishman has been arrested for apparently killing a referee by piledriving him as part of a spot.
At Bound for Glory last night, Leon Slater became the youngest world champion in history at just 22 years old as he defeated Nic Nemeth to become the TNA World Heavyweight Champion.
Also on the show, Max Caster made his debut for the company and made a very insensitive rap about bombs and Riyadh. He was promptly fired, and his videos and highlights scrubbed from TNA’s YouTube page.
Not really sure what they were expecting when they hired the “does insulting raps that reference current events” guy and gave him a microphone. That’s like hiring Jim Cornette and expecting to be even-headed and use clean language.
I (obviously) don’t know if it’s true or not. but Caster had a rep in AEW of being told what not to do, and doing it anyway. Whether or not TNA had the foresight to try to stop him, we’ll likely never know. Kinda bummed, as Caster is a local boy, and no doubt Brian Myers (his trainer) helped him get an in with TNA, and Caster’s obviously not smart enough to keep his head above water.
Moose and the ref totally no-selling the rap didn’t help his first impression, but that’s about the depth of emotion from Moose anyway.
