Any Pro Wrestling Fans in the Audience? (Multiple promotions) (Part 2)

Kevin Owens is indeed out for WrestleMania. He needs neck surgery.

The favor that CM Punk gets has been revealed - Paul Heyman will be in his corner at WrestleMania.

How about a Wrestling Church?

A couple of weird screw-ups on tonight’s RAW show so far.

In the opening segment, Adam Pearce announced Rhea Ripley as part of Judgment Day.

And an apparent promo from the crowd by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez talking about Dominik was cut off after about three seconds by a Triple H D-X retrospective.

All the HHH self-aggrandizing for his induction into the HoF strikes me as desperate. They even had Mick Foley reminisce about their HiaC match, which was a dozer compared to his HiaC match with UT… and plus, D-X’s “invasion” of WCW took place outside the venue and took about 30 seconds, sound and fury signifying nothing.

It’s good to be King of Kings.

Adam Pearce is done with this shit.

Kamala, Dory Funk Sr. and Ivan Koloff have been named this year’s Legacy Inductees into the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame.

In the opening match of SmackDown, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria went wire-to-wire, beating all 5 other teams in the Women’s Tag Team Turmoil match to earn a title shot at WrestleMania.

Naomi’s heel promos are fantastic.

Tonight, it was announced that Diamond Dallas Page will induct Lex Luger into the Hall of Fame.

Good choice since AEW probably has Sting under contract still.

Agreed. I wasn’t sure she could pull off a heel turn, but she’s crushing it.

We have the full Wrestlemania card, and this’ll be the last wrestling I get to watch before my six-month vacation from reality, so let’s break down the card and my predictions.

Night One

  • Main event: Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk. Punk is finally getting the 'Mania main event Batista screwed him out of 14 years ago. I don’t see any way that he doesn’t win this one, considering that they might not get another chance with how injury-prone he’s been the last few years.
  • World Heavyweight Championship: GUNTHER (c) vs. Jey Uso. GUNTHER got the win the last time these two faced off at SNME. Jey wins this one.
  • WWE Women’s Championship: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Charlotte Flair. CHARLOTTEWINSLOL.
  • US Championship: LA Knight (c) vs. Jacob Fatu. Fatu really should win this one and go on to feud with Solo.
  • World Tag Team Championship: War Raiders (c) vs. New Day. I’m gonna say Big E shows up and costs his former teammates the match, and War Raiders retain.
  • Jade Cargill vs. Naomi. Could go either way, but my money’s on Jade.
  • Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. El Grande Americano. I can’t decide whether or not this is a more embarrassing rib on Chad Gable than “Shorty G” was. I’m gonna say that The Medium Espresso with Hot Water wins due to LWO-related shenanigans.

Night Two

  • Main event for the WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. John Cena. CENAWINSLOL. This is his last chance to bear Flair’s record, and I don’t see Hunter passing that up.
  • Intercontinental Championship: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Pentagon Jr. vs. Finn Balor vs. Dominik Mysterio. I’ve got zero fear about who wins this one.
  • Women’s World Championship: Iyo Sky (c) vs. Bianca Belair vs. Rhea Ripley. I’ll say Iyo retains.
  • Women’s Tag Team Championship: Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez (c) vs. Bayley & Lyra Valkyra. I’ll give this one to the challengers.
  • Street fight: Drew McIntyre vs. Damien Priest. Priest wins with an assist from a returning Bad Bunny.
  • AJ Styles vs. Logan Paul. What I WANT is for AJ to beat Logan so effortlessly that he never shows his face again. What I EXPECT is for Logan to win the world title later this year, so Logan wins.
  • Randy Orton vs. TBA. Depends on who the TBA is. If it’s a returning Rusev or Aleister Black, they win. If it’s Solo Sikoa or another current performer, Orton wins.

What say the rest of you?

I really hope you’re wrong about these 2 matches, but I’m afraid you’re correct.

According to reports, Chelsea Green was legitimately counted out last Friday in her match against Zelina Vega, as the match was supposed to go several more minutes. Vega was supposed to win the match, but not by countout.

Hope Chelsea doesn’t get a lot of grief over this. It was probably a better ending than whatever they had planned and sets up a decent rematch.

It was actually kind of a funny ending, with her yapping at the announcers. That’s our Chelsea.

It’s getting funnier. Chelsea has hired legal representation to challenge her count-out loss.

Nick Aldis replied, “Katy Perry spent less time in space than you did outside the ring.”

Every time I see a Mick Foley interview, I learn something new. I saw him live 10 or so years when he appeared at Charlie Goodnights (Matt Hardy and Hurricane Helms were also there) and got him to autograph his book. What a great storyteller. Here’s his appearance on Hot Ones a year ago.

Apparently Rey Mysterio suffered an injury during last night’s six-man tag-team match, and his status for WrestleMania is in jeopardy.

I suppose they could replace him with Rey Fenix.
