OK, this hasn’t exactly been a burning issue for me, but it is starting to get a wee bit annoying.
After the SDMB was upgraded to vB, I was no longer able to see boldfaced items in the regular text of a posting - items that are supposed to be boldfaced appear in a slightly larger font than the rest of the text, but in regular line weight.
Since I’m on a G4, I have the character set in Netscape 4.7 set to Western (MacRoman), which worked just fine with UBB. I’ve tried changing to other character sets; the only ones that show bolding properly are Unicode (UTF-8) and Unicode (UTF-7), which have the unfortunate effect of completely changing the font to Times Roman and about 6 pt-size (much harder to read than the Geneva font I prefer for reading this board).
Anyone have any suggestions for how I might fix things?
