Any value in the See-Clearly Method, and altering general focal habits?

I am nearsighted. I don’t know my prescription numbers, but I can focus about a foot away without glasses. I was wondering, first of all, if there might be any value in this so-called See-Clearly Method of eye exercises; I haven’t heard anything other than their ads that supports this method. Second, I was wondering if changing my general focusing habits might affect my vision in the long-term. They give me glasses that allow me to see well into the distance and then I spend much of my time reading and using the computer. I would think that this might make the problem worse, and that perhaps I should take off my glasses when I’m reading a novel. On the other hand, if I did this, or got bifocals, maybe I wouldn’t be moving through as wide a range of focal distances and mabye I’d lose elasticity or something.

Any opinions or information?
