Any way to stop my cellular phone from driving me insane?

Yes, this is a G.Q. I have a used LG VX 6100 cellular phone that I am now using. I just started using it last week, it was a backup I bought on eBay last year in case my phone was lost or stolen. ( It was stolen out of my car. )

The speaker in the handset sounds a lot like the way an audio speaker sounds when it has a small crack in it. You know, that nails on the blackboard buzzing distortion? It’s constant and not so bad that I cannot hear anything, but it does distort the incoming audio.

Anyone ever gone inside of their phone to fiddle with the speaker or audio area? Any tips on how to go about it without wrecking the phone? I love this phone, as soon as I put this unit into service, within 30 minutes I’d gone on eBay and found another LG VX 6100 to have as backup.

Tips? Thoughts? Methods?
