I didn’t like Reeses peanutbutter cups white.
The contrast of milk chocolate and peanut butter is essential for this candy.

Lindor white chocolate truffles are pretty good. I like them better than the dark chocolate truffles.
[Moderating]
While the point you’re making is clear, the way you’re expressing it is… problematic, to say the least, for reasons that should be obvious. Let’s not have comparisons to Nazis to express any sort of notion of white superiority, shall we?
I like it okay, though it does have to be the real thing. Too many “white chocolate” confections contain no cocoa butter.
Interestingly, I found a site that talks about the difference in behavior between real white chocolate, and the “white baking chips”, and how the latter MAY be more desirable for some uses.
I like white chocolate. Neuhaus make some nice white chocolate pralines and bars
Tough crowd, my apologies.
Sometimes, in small doses, in part because I enjoy variety.
The mix we buy most Februarys from Gearhsrt’s has two white out of sixteen, and that’s enough for me.
I like white chocolate.
Real white chocolate does taste like chocolate, because cocoa butter tastes like chocolate even after the cocoa solids have been removed. It’s a subtle flavor, but it can be a nice backdrop. One of the most pleasant candy bars i ever had was a lemon pepper white chocolate bar, made with real cocoa butter. The chocolate flavor, as well as the divine mouth feel of cocoa butter, really added to the experience. Sadly, that candy is no longer made. (I spent a lot of effort tracking it down, and I’m certain.)
Fake white chocolate is usually too sweet, but sometimes it contrasts well with other elements of a food.
Annoyance. I’m not a huge white chocolate fan, but that combination tweaked my imagination. I had the phrase highlighted all ready to do a copy and paste search when I got to the end of your comment
.
It was not. But i may have to get some of that and try it! Thanks.
Report back!
Well, you are right. It has no actual chocolate in it. However, the term “white chocolate” means sweetened cocoa butter, treated somewhat like chocolate.
So altho “white chocolate” is not chocolate, it is a real thing. I am not a huge fan as it is just too sweet for me, but See’s has a WC lime truffle which is very nice, as the lime cuts the sweetness.
And it is great for decorating!
White chocolate, mmmmmmmm! Especially when included in chocolate chip cookies. ![]()
I like it fine when paired with something salty. White chocolate covered salty pretzels? Sure. White chocolate chip cookies? No. Mix of white and dark chocolate chip cookies? Maybe, but still mostly no. White chocolate macadamia nut or cashew or really any salty nut? Yes! It’s not hard-and-fast, as I like white chocolate with some fruits (it’s okay on strawberries, but I prefer regular chocolate). And I actually like the white Nestle Crunch bar for some odd reason. Most of the time, though, it ends up tasting too sweet for me without enough other flavors to balance it out.
I like chocolate, but this thread seems kind of racist.
100%!
I have always liked white chocolate. Especially things like white chocolate macadamia nut cookies and white chocolate covered pretzels. And as much as it pains me to admit, I quite like the Hershey’s Cookies and Cream bars, which are basically their take on white chocolate mixed with little bits of crunchy Oreo-like cookies.
I think I only had the white Nestle Crunch bar and white Kit-Kats maybe a time or two, and haven’t even seen white Toblerone. I’ve had the white Lindt bars a few times, but generally just prefer their milk chocolate.
I got one. They’re ridiculously expensive, but fairly good
. I would not say it is the best candy bar I’ve ever had (in fact I preferred the lime and Tasmanian pepper regular chocolate bar that I bought at the same time). But as a non-white chocolate fan most of the time, I’d say it worked pretty well.
Neat! I am waiting until the weather is cooler, as i don’t want to order expensive chocolate only to have it melt on my doorstep.
