Any WWE fans in the audience? (Part 1)

Oh Paige, you naughty girl. Jealous of A-lister drugs? ADR made good on his coke connections?

A post from her father claimed it was painkillers for her neck injury. Hmmm, I can’t imagine why the WWE might want to be very strict and careful about prescription-strength painkillers from random doctors.

Oh come on, those people are serious athletes. They can definitely handle an entire bottle of 60 Vicodin a day without problems. I have that on good authority.

By all means it looks like Goldberg v. Lesnar is actually happening at Slurvivor Series.

I’m so angry. I’m probably the only person in the world who legit WANTS to see Goldberg one last time, and it’s going to be in a godawful match at a godawful “PPV” with a godawful opponent…

Drug-testing someone who’s not currently active and is just coming off a major neck surgery is a dick move nonetheless.

This should serve as yet another chapter in the big book of “The Wellness Policy is a joke which serves as nothing more than a cudgel to punish performers for things that would get WWE sued if they didn’t have some other excuse”.

And that’s the interesting part. I’m waiting for someone to sue the fuck out of them over being punished for having a perfectly legal medical prescription and having done what they believed was necessary to notify WWE.

It isn’t morally or legally defensible to punish people for having prescriptions required for their own health. I’ve done a ton of steroids over the last few years for various back problems - I just finished a z-pack last week for an inflamed sciatic nerve. If my employer suspended or fired me for doing it, you damn betcha there’d be lawsuit papers on their desks in less than a week.

And WWE has made the nearly unprecedented announcement that Paige failed for an illegal substance, not a prescription.

In other news, one of the last episodes of TNA for the year will be filmed entirely a the Hardy compound for Total Nonstop Deletion. Which should be weirder than the DelRio/Paige saga, but somehow isn’t.

AJ just saved James Ellsworth’s life.

Horrible booking decision to use the Styles Clash.

Catastrophic move by Ellsworth (who has 15 years in the business) to tuck the head.

AMAZING awareness by AJ to notice and land on all fours rather than flat.

Ellsworth’s life could have been changed. Or ended.

Ellsworth is the new Mulkie brothers.

Wonder if he’ll have a revenge match with Miz with Dolph as special guest referee?

The moment they announced that match, I knew Ellsworth was winning.

Can you imagine that call? “Mr. Ellsworth, we’d like to have you come back on Smackdown and wrestle AJ Styles in the main event. Oh, and you’re going to win.”

Glad they didn’t hot-shot it, but having it be a title match with Ellsworth winning it would have been fucking hilarious. :D:D:D

To be honest I can’t imagine his reaction was all that great.

He didn’t go over clean or anything. From what I saw of the match he, in fact, didn’t look very good at all in the match and only won because of Dean.

The conversation was more like “You’re going to face AJ Styles and win, but only because of A LOT of help”

I’m not familiar with the guy’s work, but with that look, you don’t think his entire career is jobbing and fluke wins?

Ha. Touche

Ty Dillinger is being set up to be the next Sami Zayn. He’ll be the one everybody betrays and treats like a door mat. He deserves it for flexing his ass cheeks. Ack. Ptui. Blecch.

I disagree.

Tye Dillinger is the next Tyler Breeze (must be a Ty thing…).

He’s the one that is over with fans and is a good wrestler, but never wins anything of substance and will be brought out to put anyone who is new over

And you’re saying Sami Zayn doesn’t fill that role on the main roster? :stuck_out_tongue:

And Billy Corgan, minority owner and President of TNA, has filed a lawsuit against TNA and Dixie Carter. Looks like the exact details are sealed at the moment, there is also some sort of retraining injunction being filed, presumably to prevent her from selling TNA while the lawsuit is still pending.

She’s probably pulling a Trump, trying to destroy the place since her parents won’t give her more money to play with it.

Within a couple of months she’ll be Executive Vice President of the Corner Office at Panda, with no duties and all employees in the same building ordered to be pleasant to her but never do anything she asks.

Yeah, whatever Dixie was offered during Bound for Glory weekend, she should have taken if she actually cared about the company being able to go forward, it looks like. Now a production company that was used for last year’s Bound for Glory has filed their own suit.

Total Nonstop Deletion may yet be aptly named. If WWE does end up with it before it’s filmed, I hope they do let them go all out.

If she had actually cared about anything more than her own ego, she wouldn’t have insisted on the deal killer ‘I have to be on TV’ clause when they shopped it a couple of years ago.
