Other than the fact I don’t like Wyatt, him winning the belt is stupid to me for one reason
He neither wants, nor needs it.
His storyline is being the head-of-household for his crumbling family. His, Luke Harper and RKO’s storyline should solely be about the three of them and have nothing to do with a belt. When has he ever even said he wanted a belt? He wants to get followers and take over the world, gold belts mean nothing to him.
But I guess the smarks will be happy, so that’s something.
He just said, several times, that they can change their minds at any time, including 30 minutes before the show. Kinda laughing about it too, which for smarks, was clearly mocking WWE booking patterns.
I don’t read any WWE sites or listen to any podcasts, but I would have bet a paycheck that Wyatt was going to win in the chamber. Setting up the matchup between him and RKO was too obvious.
Well now they’re saying that it was Bayley’s dream to win the title in the main event on RAW, so if that is true, then she achieved her childhood dream.
I’m going to bet that she loses it back at Fast Lane, then wins it again at Wrestlemania. Continuing Charlotte’s PPV streak for one more event before breaking it at the big show.
Honestly was sort of surprised to see Dana Brooks last night, as she’d been kinda disappeared for a while.
Speaking of disappeared, has anyone seen or heard from Mr. Hennig in a while?
I laughed my ass off at Jericho and KO’s Festival of Friendship, especially the God and Adam knockoff. Gillberg’s return was the icing on the cake. KO gave Jericho the Apron Power Bomb of Betrayal, like he did Sami Zayn in his NXT debut. Too bad this angle is kaput.
Please WWE, don’t make KO’s loss to Oldberg last less than two minutes. KO doesn’t deserve to get squashed, no matter how winded Oldberg gets.
KO’s face when he first saw Jericho’s party decorations reminded me of a story my coworker told me. His mom and her gay friend threw a surprise birthday party for him and decorated his house like The Flintstones. Everybody wore stone age garb and carried plastic clubs. He said they took his picture when he first stepped inside and he’s gaping in absolute horror.
I’m not really a fan of the KO/Jericho breakup (Again, the reasons are stupid/not there)
But man was that a well acted segment! Good job for KO and Jericho for acting as well as they did in that whole segment. Freddie Prinze Jr. must be smiling.
Or as someone commented on a dirt sheet article, now he doesn’t need to worry about being tested and can be as jacked as he wants to be in WWE. Since they’ve made it clear they won’t test him.
If WWE doesn’t extend its Wellness Policy to include part-time performers, then the Wellness Policy is an absolute joke.
But I’ll talk about something new: I for one was surprised and delighted when Bray Wyatt won the Elimination Chamber and became WWE Champion. Wyatt vs. Orton at WrestleMania had seemed to be a foregone conclusion but I didn’t think they’d actually pull the trigger on a Wyatt title reign considering how poorly they’ve booked him.
And then WWE throws us for another loop by having Orton refuse to face Wyatt at WrestleMania. Instead, Daniel Bryan announced on Talking Smack that there will be a battle royal on next week’s show to determine Wyatt’s WM opponent, and AJ Styles was announced as the first participant. I wonder where this leaves Orton for WM. A jump to RAW to face the Universal Champion?
It is, and WWE has confirmed as much. After UFC caught Brock juicing last year, WWE put out a statement saying they wouldn’t be suspending him because the Wellness Policy only applies to full-time talent and not special attractions. (Ever wonder how the Undertaker goes from looking like this to looking like this? Wonder no more.)
The Universal Champion at 'Mania is almost certainly going to be Goldberg, and he’s already got a match booked, so that can’t be it.
Dixie Carter actually outfoxed him. Anthem bought TNA and settled their debts with Corrigan. Anthem now owns 85%, Aroluxe 10%, and Dixie 5%. Anthem then brought Jeff Jarrett back as executive consultant.
My guess is that Luke Harper will win it, which causes Randy to flip out and not want his master (or whatever) to be left out in the open, so he volunteers to help…leading to an all-wyatt triple threat (technically a 2 on 1, but Orton will turn at some point in the match)
I do like that Luke Harper is getting more defined in character, but I wish it wasn’t because he rebelled against Bray. The Wyatts were kind of a Contra-Shield before that could have been a heel dynasty like Kevin Sullivan’s and Raven’s. I’ve never thought of Randy Orton as a lost soul who was vulnerable to corruption like Harper and Rowan. If they could come up with some sort of segment that showed Bray becoming one of the voices in his head, that would work.
