Any WWE fans in the audience? (Part 1)

Buying the PPV from your provider will average about $60, and the Network does carry every PPV. So, $120 a year for all the PPVs with the Network vs $120 for 2 PPVs outside the Network is bettah.

Jeff “broke 6,000 guitars and never drew a dime” Jarrett is going into the WWE HOF.

Oh boy.

Seems kind of odd to me. Do they know something we don’t, like he’s dying?

I believe WWE paid/is paying for his alcohol rehab after his antics last year got him fired from Impact.

Is it true that he’s going to lip-sync to Road Dogg reading his speech?

I am shocked that apparently Vince McMahon is forgiving Jarrett for holding him up for a one-day contract extension to defend the I-C Title.

Maybe he’s signing a contract and they’ll have him down at the Performance Center wrestling for NXT as this washed up old former promoter who used to make himself the star of the show (like all old promoters used to), but is now stuck wrestling trainees and new recruits in a development territory. And losing. It’d be very meta.

Does Jarrett have any say in the remnants of any other promotions? It could be some sort of deal/reward for somebody’s tape library.

How long did that Gauntlet Match on RAW last? WWE.com suggests that (at first glance) it might have been the longest match in WWE history.

He’ll hath truly frozen over. Double-J getting into the HoF. WWE really brought their A-game last night to sell Elimination Chamber.

But does anyone really believe Titus Worldwide will ever be tag champs?

Vince doesn’t hold grudges if he can find the money. Eric Bischoff and Bret Hart are two such examples.

I remember my DVR was at 1:15 or thereabouts, so at least 75 minutes.

Sure, to lose the belts to Revival the next night.

Ugh, that would be horrible. So it’s probably going to happen. And that’s not a knock on The Revival, just a knock on how they’ve been booked (or more to the point, haven’t been booked).

Michael Cole also kept hinting that Rollins broke HHHs record of longest time in a match on RAW, too…did that happen?

If so, it’d be Triple H and Chris Benoit’s record, I believe; they had a 60-minute Iron Man match for the World Heavyweight Championship which Benoit won, retaining the gold.

There, fixed it for you :stuck_out_tongue:

Actually, on WWE Network, they never had that much of a problem mentioning his name. Even back in the “On Demand” days, while they removed all scenes of him speaking or wrestling when they aired Nitro episodes (which pretty much meant that every Four Horseman interview was removed), the announcers would mention his name on occasion and WWE left it in.

Now, they have restored his matches and interviews, but there is a disclaimer at the start of each episode; they do the same thing with episodes of pretty much anything including Hulk Hogan ever since the N-word incident. Note that neither of them can have their names mentioned on live shows now; I remember either a Raw or a PPV where one announcer said “the immortal one” and another freaked out because he thought the first was going to mention Hogan by name. Then again, when was the last time you heard Droz’s name mentioned - and all he did was get paralyzed in the ring?

Oh I know, I was just being funny…or…attempting to

Looks like the Network will describe a match with Benoit as “Perry Saturn in singles action,” or whomever the opponent was. I remember seeing something described as such and wondering who’s this jobber not even worth mentioning his name. Oh, right, it’s Benoit.

By the way, just want to mention that as a fan of WCW during the Monday night wars, I’ve really been enjoying Tony Schiavone’s podcast “What Happened When.” We’ve all heard about WCW from Bischoff’s perspective a million times, and Schiavone got a lot of crap back in the day, but he offers some interesting insight.

Sad face for Johnny Gargano. What’s next? 205? SD? RAW? Return wearing Almas’s old mask?

Mustafa Ali ably channeled Gargano’s distraught babyface persona in his match with Jack Gallagher. Buddy Murphy is all cut and shredded now, but still acts like he got mule-kicked to the head a few too many times. 205 is looking really nice so far by letting their talent work long matches and removing the Vinceness. Thanks you HHH!
