My WrestleMania 35 predictions:

Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch, Winner Take All Triple-Threat Match for the WWE Raw and Smackdown Women’s Championships: Becky wins by defeating Charlotte. WWE probably only made it a triple-threat so that Rousey wouldn’t have to get pinned.

Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins, Universal Championship Match: Brock wins and retains.

Daniel Bryan vs. Kofi Kingston, WWE Championship Match: Kofi wins the big one! KOFI WINS OR WE RIOT.

Triple H vs. Batista, No Holds Barred Match; if Triple H loses, he retires from in-ring competition: Batista sends Triple H into retirement.

Kurt Angle vs. Baron Corbin: Kurt wins. I’ll agree with the legends beatdown.

Shane McMahon vs. The Miz, Falls Count Anywhere Match: The Miz.

Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre: Reigns.

Samoa Joe vs. Rey Mysterio, United States Championship Match: Joe wins and retains.

Bobby Lashley vs. Finn Balor, Intercontinental Championship Match: The Demon wins the belt.

Bayley & Sasha Banks vs. Beth Phoenix & Natalya vs. Tamina & Nia Jax vs. The IIconics, Fatal Four-Way for the Women’s Tag Team Championship: Bayley and Sasha win and retain.

A.J. Styles vs. Randy Orton: Styles wins.

The Usos vs. Shinsuke Nakamura & Rusev vs. The Bar vs. Ricochet & Aleister Black, Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match: Nakamura and Rusev win the titles.

Buddy Murphy vs. Tony Nese, Cruiserweight Championship Match: Buddy.

The Revival vs. Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder, RAW Tag Team Championship Match: Gotta go with my boy Zack. Hawkins’ losing streak finally ends!

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal: Strowman.

WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal: Asuka.

Cena gets a win in some kind of impromptu match.

They really slashed their entrance budget this year. They’re using a plexiglass ramp and the rasslers are entering from the side. No LOED animations, no nuthin’!

Brock did not have on his working shoes. Don’t know if that’s because of time, because he was dropping the belt, or what. But he did a lot more and did it better against Finn, Bryan, and AJ

this reminds me of wm 5 or 6 … they had a card that was larger than wm3 and looked epic except for about half the matches were 10 minute or less squashes I suspect it will be the same

So far, I like the 4-way SD title match the best. Ricochet and Black looked pretty awesome. Cesaro and Sheamus’s combination Grandfather Clock striking maneuver was a true spot worthy of WM, and the USOs are the only champs not to lose so far.

I’m not really up for the rest of the show otherwise.

All in all, that was a damn good WrestleMania (Shane and Corbin’s wins notwithstanding), and probably the best one we’ve had since Daniel Bryan won the WWEWHC back at 30.

I see no value in the Shane win, but McMahons, which explains everything.

Surprised and found myself delighted that IIconics got the win. Nice moment for them.

I guess we’ll find out in a few months or years how Kurt felt about putting over Corbin on his way out the door. Corbin can be a solid midcard heel, but he doesn’t have the charisma to carry a feud. I dunno, maybe he needs a tag partner for a while.

Speaking of, Elias needs to wrestle once in a while instead of just getting interrupted and embarrassed. HE could hold up his and Corbin’s end of a feud.

I found the Kofi moment to be good, but somehow underwhelming. It wasn’t the match itself but I can’t quite put my finger on it. Super super happy for Kofi though. Well deserved and if they do it right with New Day, he should be able to retain it at least through Summerslam. Jesus, just rocket strap the man and see how far they can go. Just don’t fucking break up New Day over it.

Very Happy that Bex won. They gave her the main event, they put all of the straps on her and they had per pin Ronda Rousey to close Wrestlemania in doing it. That’s a huge vote of confidence in The Man. Thanks Vince.

Dirt sheets are saying the Women’s Match ending was botched, but ultimately was correct. The plan was for Charlotte to tap to Becky but Rousey messed something up and got the pin. I didn’t watch it so I don’t know how it looked, but that’s what they’s saying.

A much, MUCH better 'Mania in practice than what was on paper that’s for sure. I ended up turning the TV off after the Angle match, but everything else I saw leading up to it was great. Love pretty much all the wins if I’m being honest.

I love how Seth/Brock was Heyman “joking” that if Lesnar isn’t going on last, he’s going on first…but we all know that’s 100% true.

IIconics literally have no reason to exist if not to be tag champs. A very good choice. Plus Peyton Royce is super hot.

Love love LOVE! Kofi finally winning. He’s arguably been my favorite wrestler in the 7 years I’ve been a (re)fan and this just makes everything all the better. That being said, I agree that the match just felt a little lacking. I expected a few more big hits and a few more near falls. I pray to God he doesn’t drop it tonight.

Angle losing was a bit dumb, but I understand. I liked the sign that said “You never sucked”, it was sweet.

I’ll have to re-watch, but I think Ricochet was on the verge of tears on his entrance. It makes sense because he’s come a long, long way in a short time. Is this the biggest crowd he’s ever wrestled in front of?

Speaking of wrestlers crying…I’m such a damn sap. I love it when wrestlers cry after things because you just know how much it means to them. Billie Kay was practically bawling after winning the titles. Billie’s was especially funny because midway through she remembered she was a heel and tried to heel it up. Hell, Xavier woods was bawling and he didn’t even win the thing. Just goes to show that New Day should NEVER EVER break up. Break apart? Sure. Break up? Never.

There was little wrong with WM, except that the matches felt like TV matches. The matches were short, and there was little story occurring in the ring during the match. Obviously Rey was hurt, so they kept that short and sweet. But a payoff should be a back and forth struggle for dominance, and not surprisingly, only the family got a chance for that. Trying not to repeat last year’s mistake, they made brand new mistakes.

Personally, I’d fix it by just doing title matches on Wrestlemania (or stop having so many separate brand titles). That’s 8 matches (2 World Title, 2 2ndary title, 3 tag team, 1 woman’s title). That’s a good 4-hour card with each match having ample time. You can maybe get in 1 or 2 more matches (1 per show?), and TV leading up can be the struggle to get one’s match on WM. You could get a good 4 weeks of TV out of AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Miz, and Shane trying to be the ones to finish their feud at WM. On the other side, rather than a farewell tour, Angle can fight for the chance to end his career at WM versus Reigns & McIntyre getting the spot. And lastly, I’d always, always, always close the pre-show with the 205 championship. But I’m old school and I want belts to be the most important things in the promotion.

A few spots I liked:
Heavy Machinery throws Braun shoulder-first into the turnbuckle and he falls through the ropes. That shows they’re not just Bushwhackers Redux, and are big enough and skilled enough to carry a feud with Braun.
The Cesaro Swing + Seamus’s Beats of the Bowery combo, and the whole 4-team tag match in general
The IIconics stolen win - looking forward to them gloating about it
Sarah Logan’s almost win - hope this means the Riott Squad will finally stop being the Jobb Squad

Things I didn’t like:
Mr. Miz’s fisticuffs - just don’t. It looks cute, but just don’t.
Bringing all the male AtGBR participants to the ring (except Strowman), then switching to a panel discussion while they stand around for 5 minutes. Couldn’t the panel flap their lips beforehand?
Thuganomics - ack poo there’s a reason the angle died 15 years ago. Cena looks like a middle-aged has-been trying to recapture the glory years.

Maybe a good E&C Show-type segment would be showing kids in some third world country, one opens a box and pulls out shirts for whoever lost the World Series, the next opens a box and gets hats for the Super Bowl loser, the final kid opens his box and gets the endplates for a wrestler who lost his championship challenge.
