So I’ll click on a thread, then the page will just start buffering non stop while NOT loading the page. And what’s weird about it is while that page is buffering, I can open a new tab, go to the SD and click on the thread I was originally trying to access with no problems. All this while the other page is still buffering.
Another weird thing about this is that there doesn’t seem to be a ‘time out’. I once let a page buffer for a good 30min before I finally closed the tab.
Mine is the exact opposite: I click on a link, and it almost immediately goes to “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage,” with no buffering at all. The page usually loads after refreshing it a few times, though. This is only happening when I click on threads, not on forums or any other links.
I don’t get either of those, but what I do get is that about half the time I pull up a page, after everything is up and loaded, the progress indicator continues to spin indefinitely. Normally, I’ll hit the stop button so it doesn’t distract me, but even if I come back to my computer several minutes later, it’ll still be spinning.
It does this on Firefox on two different computers. I don’t know if it’s an ad trying to load or the GreaseMonkey script trying to pull up avatars or something else altogether.
I get that at times. I can usually see down at the bottom left-hand of the page what it is that’s trying to load and nine times out of ten it’s bloody Google Analytics collecting info on our browsing habits.
I don’t use GreaseMonkey nor do I have ads via membership and AdBlock, and this happens to me sometimes, too. What’s been happening more often recently, and is annoying the heck out of me, is when clicking “New Posts” I get the 120 second search wait screen when I haven’t clicked New Posts or done any searches or anything else that should prompt that screen. It’s only happened in the last month or two, but it will happen a few times a day.
