I was watching this video here, when suddenly a new theory popped into my head.
And my new theory is, that the Ohio Players musta been hella fun to hang out with.
Can anybody confirm or deny this hypothesis?

How quaint; playing instruments and singing.
I just saw a documentary “Unsung” on TVOne about these guys. I kind of found it depressing. Bunch of buddies out of Dayton, some guys come, some guys go - then they capture lightning in a bottle and make three platinum records, crossover success… and then one of the guys starts to rip off the others and gets busted by the IRS. The entire band loses everything and goes broke. 
Great band, especially their album covers.
