If you’re in L.A. and you plan on being at LosCon (the annual Los Angeles Science Fiction Society convention), it’s your chance to say hello to your favorite Gay Guy. I’ll be working the Conjecture fan table and party suite, and I’ll certainly be at the Planet LAmbda/Gaylaxians party Saturday night.
Actually, I was there on Friday. If I had known about you being at the Conjecture booth, I’d have said hello. But as I had little internet access while I was visiting brother in Pasadena, didn’t know. Sorry.
I wish I could’ve been there. I went to a LosCon once before and met a number of my favorite writers: Larry Niven, David Gerrold, J. Michael Stracyzinski, Steven Barnes and Ray Bradbury.
I will also be going to ConJose/WorldCon next year (as well as Condor, BayCon, Westercon, and heaven knows how many else between now and then), not only further promoting Conjecture (www.conjecture.org), but ConJose will be the official kick-off for Gaylaxicon 2004 in San Diego, which I’m chairing (Yahoo | Mail, Weather, Search, Politics, News, Finance, Sports & Videos).
I suppose I’ll have to add “Esprix” to my badge name list from now on…
Well, I will be at Further Confusion, most likely helping out in the game rooms (I was the schmoo who got to watch the game room from 11:00PM to 6:00AM last year, yes both nights.) I will also be at Baycon, might be at the ConJose booth a bit. And I am helping at ConJose, currently one of the people assisting the programming director. When one of your roommates was the head of ConJose’s worldcon bid, you have tendancy to want to help out. (Mind you, I was a member before Kevin, Cheryl, JonR and I all needed to find digs at the same time though.)
