I have… and I simply love it.
Style straight out of “Hello Kitty” (Sanryo, the company that brought the aforementioned diabetes-inducing feline is the producer of “Aggretsuko”)… and content that is anything but.
With a story full of satire towards the bleak world of your average low-level office worker/wage slave (and it is satire that goes straight to the jugular), combined with some memorable characters and a protagonist that turns on their head quite a few assumptions about what a “proper, polite” young Japanese woman (well, she’s a red panda, but you know what I mean) should be… well, I fell in love with this series.
Just 10 episodes, 15 minutes each, you can watch the whole thing in a lazy afternoon. It feels more like a movie, as a matter of fact.
There are also 100 one-minute sketches with the same characters (although the characterization of some of them is very different), used as interstitials for the Japanese TBS tv station in 2015-2016.
Soooo…anybody else has seen this Netflix series?
What do you think?
