It’s weird that I’m starting this thread. I’m not even that big of a country fan.
For those of you who don’t know, CMT has a show called “Crossroads,” in which a country music artist and a rock artist are paired up, and they perform each other’s songs. It’s kind of a kick to see people do songs they don’t normally do.
There’s been a fair number of them by now – Dave Matthews & Emmylou Harris, James Taylor & The Dixie Chicks, Ray Charles & Travis Tritt, etc.
I’m still holding out hope they can attract the attention of Garth Brooks for one of these, but he’s been fairly reclusive since his withdrawal from the spotlight. But I’d love to see Garth pair up with Bono & U2. What a cool show.
